Freezer is working fine but fridge won't go about 60 degrees. Cleaned out pass through from freezer to fridge, clean vents, and cleaned coils. All to no avail.Missing: gloo

Fridge gets cold air from freezer to cool it. Your freezer is fine but not enough cold air is getting into fridge compartment. U have some dampers or louvers that direct air flow to fridge and if they are not set properly cooling will not be adequate. Check those out.
Hi, I'm Mark. Check the position of the two controls at the top of the unit inside the fresh food compartment. SET BOTH controls to the 12 o'clock position. Wait about a hour, then check temperatures. Then wait another hour and check temperatures again. Record the values on a piece of paper. When you do check fridge temperatures, do so quickly as the compartments become warm just a few seconds after the doors are opened. Please let me know what happens to the fresh food readings. There are several possibilities on your model. Compressor start components and Adaptive defrost Control. I would like you to pull away from wall and unplug , rempove the cover over compressor and feel the compressor to tell me if warm, hot or too hot to keep your hand there, Waiting for your response, Sea Breeze
There is a fan that blows the cold air down from the freezer to the fridge compartment. It is usually called a freezer fan. Most of them are behind the plastic lining in the freezer. I just noticed that your fridge is a side by side. I have never wored on a side by side but I imagine there is fan in them as well.
Art, I need to get a little more information from you. Does the condenser fan under the refrigerator seem to work and blowing warm air from below and or behind the refrigerator? The motor feeling warm is OK. Only when too hot to touch on top. Needs to cycle also. When you opened the freezer did you hear the fan blowing? Thanks, JT
We had a warm fridge and super cold freezer.....we unplugged for about 20 minutes and the fridge started to cool down again.... but only for a few days then back to warm.
We ended up unplugging and "defrosting" the whole unit for 24+ hours ....Now it works perfectly again.
I think it happens when one or both of the doors is not shut or sealed all the way and engine works too hard and "freezes" up the fans or some other part of the system.......I am just happy I did not have to buy a new fridge.
I've had this happen to my Kenmore 73503 several times. The 1st time took me a few hours to figure out what the problem was.
Basically the fridge is cooled from the freezer, so when you say your freezer is -2 degrees, it's a big tip off to the problem.
If you look very close in the freezer compartment at the back, you'll notice an opening with a little door at the top of the freezer compartment. This opening extends up the inside of the back of the fridge to the top of the fridge area via a square plastic tube.
Basically what happens in my fridge is the family loads the freezer to high especially at the top/back. This restricts or closes off the opening for the cold air to the fridge portion of the appliance ....resulting in a warm fridge, but cold freezer. Just remove the articles at the back of the freezer to correct problem. (It will take a few hours for the cold air to cool the fridge down)
Note: the temperature control unit in the fridge area controls the little door at the top of the freezer compartment, so if you haven't blocked off the opening, the next place to look would be either at the mechanical parts of the little door or the temperature control unit itself in the fridge
