SOURCE: My husqvarna zero turn mower has an auto safety

There should be a switch under the seat. The system is designed to stop all functions if no one is setting in the seat. I believe the seat switch has failed.
Check it out and let me know.

Hi there,
Sounds scary! How steep is the hill?
Could you jack up the back end of the mower and check both wheels are driving? Maybe get it running slowly and get someone to carefully try and stop each wheel from turning with some sort of friction, eg a broom. If just the left wheel is driving you could get similar symptoms to what you describe. Some mowers have a key in the axle to wheel joint - if this is the problem then maybe yours is shorn.

I have a husqvarna 4623 zero turn and when I would pull up the pto the mower would die. I replaced the fuel filter and now it won't even stay running

Most likely the battery isn't holding enough charge which is why the PTO won't engage.
Likely you have air in the fuel line/fuel filter which lets it run for awhile then it fuel starves.

How to change oil on Residential Z4217 zero turn mower

On the left side of the engine, (looking at it from behind) their is a yellow cap, 1. pop it off, 2. turn tube to left, 3. pull tube out.

Oil runs out and back down the indention and out through the hole at the rear. it can get messy. I enlarged the hold at the rear for quicker draining and less mess.

Lift the seat up and look for (rods) that run from the pump to the control sticks. There is a jam nut on these treaded rods, one for each hydro unit, use a marker and mark the position of the jam nut on the rod on the slow side, left you said. loosen the jam nut and turn the treaded rod a couple of turns one direction, then try the mower and see if it is faster on that side or slower, if it is slower then turn the treaded rod the oppisite direction that you just turned, If it is faster then it was before then adjust the rod till it is the same speed as the other side is. Tighten jam nut.
