Turn the mains power off and force pull the drawer slowly.. No jerky movements. The lid seal is stuck. Once open, check for any damage to lid seal by running fingers on the underside of the top of cabinet where the drawer slides in. Turn mains power back on. If the drawer does not slide back in then it is likely the lid seal actuator motor is stuck or power to motor has failed. Will need technician involvement to fix. If lid seal looks torn then it will need to be replace. Can cause leaks and further faults otherwise.
I would recommend taking the ipad to the Genius Bar to have them review. This sounds like one of two things: a stuck pixel or backlight bleeding. The stuck pixel might be able to be resolved by massaging or flashing different colors on the display. Besides replacement, there is no fix for the backlight bleeding.

Remove the 4 nuts, through the axle flange hole, that retain the axle bearing and shaft into the housing. You need to use a socket and extension, for this. Use a large bar to remove the seal it is a press fit so it wont come out with out destroying it! I have used the axle shaft to do this.Pack the new seal with grease, to keep the seals expansion spring within the seal lips. You will need a driver to install the seal, and a hammer ! Good luck! Check the gear lube level and replenish after the seal, and axle is installed.
If you can't lift the presser foot up at all undo the presser bar screw on top of the presser bar, if you have a dial turn it to 0, you should now be able to move the lever, if it is still tight put some WD40 on the presser bar and leave it for a couple of hours.
To replace the window seal, you first have to remove the vent window assembly from the door. After it is removed, the nut and spring on the bottom of the window has to be removed. Then remove the glass and frame from the vent assembly frame. Then gently remove the rubber off of the frame and install the new one after you replace the top vent bar seals. Reverse the window removal procedures to reinstall the glass and frame. The top vent bar seals requires a special tool to remove and replace the rivets you get with the replacement seal. You need to replace the top vent bar seal before reinstalling the new vent window rubber. When I replaced my top vent seals, it was fairly easy with my removal/installation tool.
