We have a different model Samsung, and I've heard a vibrating or buzzing noise twice. First, if the water filter isn't an exact fit (even Samsung's filters rattle), it will rattle. Second, if either of the ice makers gets stuck or jammed, it can make a vibrating noise. If our freezer drawer isn't making a good seal, ice will build up under the drawer or in the slides. Ours makes more of a humming noise, when this happens. Other areas to check: something stuck in the runner of your drawers or shelves (if yours pull out). There are also vents that draw air in and out of the cooling unit, and things in front of them may vibrate or rattle, too.

SOURCE: Samsung french door fridge not working?

I had the same problem ("OF" on display and not working) and just found a fix and it worked (on SAMSUNG site). It was correctly stated that fridge is in "demo" mode. You need to push and hold POWER FREEZE and ENERGY SAVER buttons (not "Fridge button and the Power Cool buttons" as it was suggested above).

SOURCE: RF263 series Samsung Refrigerator just began

Hi

The sound comes when there is ice build up around the fan and the fan will hit it causing this sound. You can try to leave it unplugged for around 4-24hrs and also make sure that the area near the back is clear so that airflow can get through. If the issue returns then replace the thermostat. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

There is a vibration noise on my Samsung #RF217ABBP. The vibration is loudest on back midway up. Anyone know what causes this vibration and is there a fix?

Try cleaning the condenser coil underneath the refrigerator. A dirty coil can make the compressor run extremely hard and vibrate. If this coil is clean, a compressor mount maybe loose or broken.

GE profile fridge making loud humming noise

The door being open so long caused warm moist air to collect and freeze inside the unit.

Take everything out, unplug it and let it thaw out for an entire day. All the frost will thaw, and probably run water all over the place so put towels down.

When you plug it back it, it should work fine.

My Amana French door bottom refrigerator is making a buzzing noise. The noise is intermittent and seems to be getting worse. The ice maker seems to be work ok. Any suggestions on how I might fix it?

I USED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE WATER LINE BEHIND THE UNIT IS NOT VIBRATING AGAINST IT, CAUSING THE NOISE. ALSO CHECK THE BOLTS ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE TIGHT. THE HOSE WAS MY PROBLEM AND WHEN I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT, I WAS SO RELIEVED NOT TO HEAR THAT BUZZING NOISE ANYMORE. AND I THOUGHT IT WAS ACTUALLY INSIDE THE FRIDGE!

Remove the drawers and locate the small round vent hole on the lower back wall. Place a piece of sturdy tape over the haole and re assemble unit...problem solved.

Roaring sound

I have had the same issues. I have owned my LFX25960 for 18 months. All the cooling, noise, and condensation problems are related to 2 fans. One for the freezer/refrigerator compartments and One for the Ice Maker. The fans, apparently, are not sufficient to move enough air through the coils located behind a plastic panel in the freezer compartment. The part numbers for my fans are 1. Ice Maker 4681JB1029E and Refrig/Freezer 4681JK1004E. It is not impossible, but fairly difficult to replace them yourself. You have to remove the large slide out freezer drawer and glides. Then work the back freezer panel loose from the bottom. Be careful not to break it. It is plastic.
Routine maintenance: Pull the refrig out from the wall and blow-out the coils and fan located on the lower right rear. You might find it easier to do this by removing the cover on the lower, back of the refrig.
