Why does my camera shut off after 5 pictures?

If you are using a Micro sd card you will need a Sandisk sd card that says sdhc nothing higher the class 4 sd card which is the speed of the card. If still need help call Moultrie with equipment to troubleshoot the number to call 8006533334 option 1 and 1 live person

Just to let you I had Moultire m-80 when I used a pny sd card it ruined my camera. They were kind enough to replace it for me. I just use what they recommended do not have any more problems. I only delete pic on my computer and not digital camera. Try doing a hard reset take everything out turn to the on position for about 2-3 minutes after 3 min put brand new battery's in it while on the on position should say no card at this time. If doesn't turn camera off put sandisk sdhc card in it. Test camera again if still not working Moultire will help you I have talked them great customer service.

Do you have the camera set east or west? If you do you need to move to North or South if still not working do a hard reset turn off camera take out battery's and sd card push the button on/off button for about 5 seconds. Then put battery's back in leave the sd card out turn the camera on it should say no card. Once it says that turn camera off then put sandisk sdhc nothing higher than a class 4 speed of the card not the size. Then test camera again if still having the issue call Moultire 8006533334 option 1 and 1 for a live person.

Try doing a hard reset, Turn camera off remove battery's and sd card. With everything out. Push on/off for about 5 sec. Put good battery's in ig. If you using cheap battery's make sure your are using Duracell or Engerzier battery's not rechargeable. Also make sure not using a micro sd card and nothing higher than a class 4 which is the speed of the card not the size. If still need help call with equipment to troubleshoot to Moultire 800653334 option 1 and 1 for a live person.

If your SP1 camera cannot recognize the micro SD card, please be sure you are using a card between 4GB to 32GB, class 10 speed. If possible, please try another micro SD card to be sure that the card that is not recognized is not defective. If you are using a card with correct specifications and it is not recognized, then the micro SD card port on your camera may be defective. Okay I think there is a sequence of errors that have happened.
According to my specification of your camera it works with an XD Picture Card NOT an SD card.
First I'm going to assume you put a new memory card in your camera to take the pictures of your "Art GCSE" If this is so then the card needed formatted to the camera (your camera manual may call this initializing) and you have inserted the correct card type. Also the maximum size of the XD card that can be used in your camera is a 512MB. Again if this was the case the camera wouldn't "see" the memory card. I'm sure the camera would have malfunctioned before you started taking your project pictures given warnings or shut down. Can you turn on the camera and see your pictures in the "Play Back" mode? Are you sure you have listed the correct camera make and model. It sounds to me as if we are talking two different cameras here because the XD Memory Card doesn't have a lock the SD memory card does The SD memory card doesn't fit in your Fuji FinePix A350 camera Also the camera you have listed here doesn't have an internal memory it has to work with a memory card Just below here is a link to a PDF Manual

Can you put the memory card that you feel has the pictures on it and use the camera Play Back mode and see pictures?

There is a possibility of two problems here, your camera uses an SD/SDHC card which has a slide lock on it I'll give you a diagram for this.


Next thing there is a Custom Set Function I thinks it's number 5 "No memory Card" it's there so you can switch your camera over to make pictures without the card, which to me is not so good because it lets you make pictures without a memory card.

Make sure you have an SD card in your camera and it's been formatted for that camera and change this to "Lock" so you can't make pictures without a card in the camera.

So a quick recap make sure you have an SD/SDHC card in your camera, make sure it's formatted for your camera and take Custom Set Function and change it to "Lock". You should be good to go

Your card was corrupted when the camera shut down unproperly.
Try to find "Data Recovery Software" to get back the lost images.

I'm not sure why this works for me, but I think it's worth a try:

1) First, take your SD card out of the camera.

2) Then turn on your camera and let it turn itself off.

3) Read the next step first and be ready to press the shutter release button (take a picture) right after the LCD screen turns on

4) With the camera lens pointed down towards the floor (aim down), turn on the camera. At this point the LCD screen should not be blurry anymore. Immediately press the shutter release after confirming that the LCD is not blurry. If the camera stays on and you can review the picture (most likely of your feet), then you are almost done.

5) Turn off the camera and re-insert your SD card.

5) This may not be a permanent fix, but point the camera lens downward whenever you turn on the camera. It should work normally if you do this. Mine worked normally (meaning I don't have to point it downward when I turn it on) after doing this several times. Your results may vary.

The only thing I can recommend is using the brands of memory cards that Casio recommends. They are Panasonic, San Disc, Toshiba. Make sure the card is formatted with the camera before use.
