Unit will not turn on at all,so how do I get disk out?
I haven't heard of a PS3 getting so hot it bricks. If it won't turn on at all, you have no choice but to open it up to remove the disk. All of the "bricked" PS3's I have ever heard of, only has 1 solution......Buy a new one. There is no way to fix it if it's bricked. If you are not familiar with the term, "Bricked" means the system is completely unresponsive. No power or anything. I will hook you up with a link how to remove a disk from the PS3 with no power.

First try going to the store and buying a cd lense cleaner.. it just may be dirty..
I have opened tons of ps3's and you would not believe the dust inside of them..

Call sony asap, they will fix it as long as the seal on the side is intact.. it costs 150-175$ but a drive on ebay costs 130 plus s/h.
Then you have to put it in yourself.
Sony will give you a 90 warrenty on the system they send you.. it may be more not sure.

If it blinks a red light this is known as the yellow light of death(ironic i know). This is caused when the unit overheats causing the solder on the board to melt and bridge. Once this happens it shorts out the board causing the error you have now. Contact Sony and see if the unit is still under warranty.
