How to replace the front wheel on a rock and roll trike

That isn't going to work unless you can do welding and fabrication.

Your existing caliper brake is fitted to the top stem of the forks and through a cantilever system applies rubber brake pads to the rim of the wheel.

Disc brakes have a brake rotor fitted to the wheel, and a brake caliper fitted to a welded bracket on the fork leg. When you apply the brake either by cable or hydraulically the two brake pads are squeezed against the rotor.

You have two choices

1. Buy the forks, and wheel complete with braking system.
2. Buy a plain Titanium wheel and upgrade the cantilever caliper brake.

Google doesn't show any with a front disc brake so no idea where you got this wheel from? You best bet is to visit a local cycle shop.

As long as it's a manual transmission and you put it in neutral. I can't see any reason it wouldn't work.
Not sure about the automatic transmission though. I would ask the company.

There gunna be drum , remove cables from hub ., remove front axle and tire.,. Remove circular drum from hub
,.,replace/rebuild brake workings.,the same way you remove them .,.replace parts back together and put back on trike.,. It's fairly simple if you are mechanicaly inclined at all and know drum brakes.,.and old trikes remember always put stuff back together the exactly the same way you remove them..

The Schwinn Meridian Trikes use a different type of axle than others such as Sun Bicycle Trikes. The center of Schwinn & Sun Trikes are the same and measured diameter at 17mm, but differ on the threaded ends... Sun Trikes continue with 17mm to the axle ends, but Schwinn Trikes taper down to 12.5mm axle ends to fit their custom size wheels. This Schwinn tapered reduction in axle diameter may be part of the reason why Schwinn axles seem to bend or break more easily.

It seems that Schwinn requested these custom parts size to lock consumers into having to purchase solely high-priced Schwinn wheel/axle parts.

As of 2022, buying replacement Schwinn Wheel/Axle replacement parts is a real pain because Schwinn will not sell direct to consumers, will not disclose Schwinn part numbers, and Schwinn Customer Service tries to redirect public parts inquiries to "authorized dealers".

The problem is most local bike stores no longer carry Schwinn bikes or parts and the retailer "big-box" stores such as Walmart, Target, or Dick's Sporting Goods will only sell Schwinn parts for bikes they stock or have sold to you at that store.

After complaining, to Schwinn Customer Service several times, they finally allowed me to order direct from Schwinn.

Possible bad wheel bearing. Jack up the vehicle and have someone rock the car while you watch and feel for loose parts in the suspension. This is using safety stands too. Best way is using ramps and having the car rocked while weight is on the tires.

Also remember that when checking wheel bearing, the brake pads may prevent some motion so wheel bearing seems tight.

Old question but I just needed the answer and figured it out. On one side of the wheel there is a disc with two arrows, line this arrows up with the arrows on the wheel and push the disc into the wheel until it clicks into place. Pull it out to convert back to a stroller.

hello qp..... the belt is slipping because it is old and stretched. Replace it and you will be good to go. Regarding the deck... you must drop it in order to replace the belt. look under the tractor to see how the deck attaches. do this on a level spot so the tractor won't roll. generally you begin by undoing the belt from the drive wheel in the front and then dropping the front by releasing the mechanism that holds it in place.

the last part is to disconnect the rear. Joe
