SOURCE: How to remove upper spray arm of Maytag DWU 9200 BBE dishwasher

There is a plastic clip that holds the spray arm to the inlet line. This clip is in the center and has to be sqeazed together to release the arm.

Both upper and lower spray arms become clogged by different objects like paper, plastic, stems from fruits, etc... These are particles that cannot br dissolved be the detergents.

SOURCE: Not cleaning upper rack

You'll need to clean the food chopper in the base. Make sure you've got a torx screwdriver.

SOURCE: Maytag MBDF550Aww upper spray arm doesn't spin.

Cleaning the filter was the right thing to try.
Since you don't see cracks/breaks on the spray arm and it appears that it is spinning freely, I doubt that replacing the spray arm will fix your problem.
If your dishwasher is several years old, your problem is likely a failing pump motor, but before you swap that out, check that the impeller is not damaged. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Need to clean out the upper spray arm and so would like to remove it (like I did the lower one) and clean it out. Help!

We have a PDW7800J01WW that I removed all the arms on recently.
There is a single hex-head screw that acts as the pivot at the center of the top most arm. Just remove this screw to remove the spray arm.
Be very gentle reinstalling it though as it is easy to over torque it and strip the plastic hub it screws into.

SOURCE: will not clean dishes on the upper rack

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

My Maytag dishwasher model #W10199645 no longer gets the upper rack clean. I think the upper rotor is not spraying properly. What should I do?

Check that it spins freely when you have all the drawers shut. Often the bottom plates stop my top bar from spinning. Big Plates!

Bosch Exxcel Diswasher SGS43E08GB/43. Top spray bar won't spin. All arms, spray holes, ducts, filters, etc are clean and free from obstructions. Water comes out of the holes on the top bar but it won't...

try starting the washer, then opening to door and checking the water level in the bottom of the machine, as far as I know, there should be enough water there to disolve the tablet when it sits in the bottom. if not that much, bung in a few cupfulls and you should see the pressure dramatically increase!

The dishwasher blades do not spin and the water is only coming out of the celing spout, how can i fix/correct this?

Remove the spray heads and clean the nozzles...they are possibly clogged with dirt and excessive diswashing soap.

Residue and small particles left in upper rack dishes and glasses. maytag mbh940aww dishwasher. Is there a filter to clean?

Hi,

Probably a blocked spray arm. Remove the top spray arm and check and clean all the holes as this is where the water sprays out from to clean the dishes and glasses. When they are blocked you get poor wash results.

Yes there will also be a filter in the base of the unit to clean. This needs to be done regularly to avoid food getting into the working parts of the unit.

Some dishes clean some not clean right next to eavh other

My guess is the stacking of the dishes. Make sure not to have them touching each other, and don't load so that a dish, bowl, or pot etc. is blocking a central water jet...
