There is little to no water pressure in the cold

When we first start up a load of wash there is little to no water pressure in the cold cycle. Hot and Warm settings are fine but when we use the Cold cycle the water just drips. It seems to be a problem with the washer itself...I tested the water pressure coming from the pipes into the back of the machine and it works fine

Hi,

look into the inlet valves of the washing machine(where the hose connects to) and see if you can see inlet screens in the inlets, they are removable and you can can clean them but be very careful popping them out as they can get bent easily, hopefully that does it

My lg wm0742hga front load washer machine over fill of water causing to leak out from the door

even when overflowing it shouldnt leak from the door? less u have a bad door seal? the water problem may be due to a bad water inlet valve? have u notice water in the tub even when ur not using it? check with a multimeter the inlet valve and the water pressure switch? blow into the water pressure switch while it is in the wash mode filling with water and if it starts washing the diaphfram is good if not its faulty. u can also checl the water inlet valve the one with the hoses attached . by running either a hot or cold cycle only and turn off the hot then turn off the cold? see if it continues to over flow with each cycle? hot then cold- GOOD LUCKKKKK

Turned on whirlpool duet washer, came back to FH as realized forgot to turn water on. Have tried all the suggestions, but each time I plug the machine it tries to drain water and the motor hums. I cannot...

Make sure both hot and cold water supplies are turned on. Select a cold wash cycle and start the wash cycle, do you get cold water? Now select a hot wash cycle and start the wash cycle, do you get hot water? If you only get cold water replace the hot water fill valve. If you only get hot water replace the cold water fill valve. If you get neither replace both fill valves.

Hot water seems to not enter tub during washing cycle. all connections are correct and the hot water hose is hot up to the back of the washer, im baffled ? does the unit start with cold water on the first...

They start with hot or warm ,what/ever the setting and rinse with cold water. Check the temperature adjustment and the cycle it's on as some do different things on different cycles.

When going to wash with my GW11 it stops during the was cycle and the cold and hot water light blink and the machine beeps

Hi just read your posting. Now, when the hot and cold lights flash at the same time it means that you are not getting enough or no hot or cold water.Remove the cold and hot inlet hoses from the machine end and put the ends into a bucket. Now turn the taps on to see if you have water coming out the hot and cold hose and if the water pressure is adequate.Try a cold fill on the wash cycle and see how it goes.please reply and let me know if there is water coming out of the hoses at a good pressure and also what water temp do you select on the wash cycle.Looking forward to your reply.

My Maytag Neptune will not go into the spin cycle, instead the letters "nf " come on the display. What can I do to prevent this and to have the cycle completed?

Bonnie,

NF = No Fill the control board receives signaling for the washer during the water fill cycle. With most cycles the depth of water is around 3.5 inches in the wash basket. I know a Bulky Wash cycle selection will fill the wash tub to a high fill which is about 7.5 inches of water in the wash basket.

Is the washer filling the machine with any water? Do you hear water entering the machine? If you are doing a cold water fill and there is no or very little water in the wash basket with the NF error code. Try a Warm or Hot fill and see if the machine will fill and start the wash cycle.

Assuming you are doing cold water wash loads. You could have a water line block at the inlet screen or a failed cold water inlet valve which will not open. Try the above and let me know the results..........Rich

Getting only cold water to my washer; hot water is not there

Hot water solenoid valve on washer not working. Test resistance across connectors. No resistance equals bad solenoid. Their not expensive and easy to install.

Hot water goes into cold water washes

It is normal for the machine to cycle between hot and cold water when filling even if selecting a cold cycle. The reason for this is because even a cold cycle requires the water temperature to be 78F for the soap to break up efficiently.

During the cold months the water in your pipes is probably less than 78F so the machine will need to add some hot water to bring it up to this temperature. Basically, it is adding cold and then hot water to maintain a temperature in the tub of 78F for cold water cycles.

Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

Can you add clothes to washer after cycle starts?

Not really. Even if it lets you it will pump out the water first. This kind of defeats the purpose. If it didn't pump out the water it would spill on the floor.
