Might be a bad cartridge

Color Laser Toner Cartridge is compatible with Lexmark X762E, X762, so it will not work in C782

I presume you have not replaced the fuser due to a fault but merely removed it to make the machine lighter when moving it. Did you turn the machine off when you removed the fuser or was it still on. If it was on then not surprised you have the error. I would remove the fuser again and carefully refit it.Make sure it clicks back into place with no real effort. Turn it on again and see if it clears. You can reset the counter manually although this would not clear an error like this. If still no good then must presume you have damaged the fuser and will have to replace it with a new one.

Check the toners, sometimes one of the toners are bad and the chip on the cartridge is not good..

The only thing that helps is replacing the ITU.

That usually means that the intermediate transfer unit(ITU) is defective but try these troubleshooting steps found in the Lexmark website. Just go to this link: http://bit.ly/dzs6o1. Follow the instructions but if all else fails, I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support.
