Might have to have the barrel drilled out and replaced, I have removed broken keys with very fine crochet needles and a lot of patience. To take a barrel out without damage the key needs to be turned into the first position to depress the barrel lock pin, which you can't do with the broken key in. Good luck
> Have you removed the broken jack from the rear end of the pc ? > Are you trying to use the audio ports on the front panel ? > if you are trying to use the audio port on the front panel you will first need to remove the piece of the broken jack stuck in the rear port - cos you can take an audio out line either from the front OR the rear any one
You can remove a piece of broken (AV)hdmi cable with a little heat, a steady hand and patience. Pins can break due to mishandling of the equipment, a stressed and failed jack, or aggressive RCA removal techniques. Most methods for removing an RCA center pin will result in damage to the jack. However, one key method almost never fails.
Lets trace the problem here before we get to the solution. Check the keyboard on another computer to see whether the problem still exists. If the keyboard does not respond then the problem is with the keyboard. But if the keyboard works fine on another computer then the problem might be with the keyboard port of your computer. Now lets get down to the solution. If the keyboard doesnt work on both computers, firstly check the keyboard connecting pin. The pins inside it might have been bent, broken, pushed in or the pins have remained to the keyboard port on your computer. In the case of broken, bent or pushed in pins, REPLACE THE KEYBOARD WITH A NEW ONE. In the case that the pins have remained in the port of your computer, get a Computer Technician to remove the pin. If it can not be removed, then replace the keyboard with the usb one.
If your SATA port broke I would recommend you call Maxtor's support if you are still under warranty. Note some hard drives have upto a 3 year warrranty from the manufacture date.
If you are not in warranty you might try this but I would recommend that you pulll all your data off first just in case this does not work.
You can find the broken piece on line to purchase,This can be repalced by soldering it to the motherboard. You will need to find someone to replace this probably a tv repair technician who is good at soldering small circiut boards. You can also purchase the motherboard and replace it
Good luck
If the metal piece just came out of the plastic casing, you may try reconnecting it to the computer and see if it would be detected by the computer. If it's detected, back up all the files.
But if the metal piece broke off, sorry but there's no way to fix it.
Now, you may look for a Data Recovery Center near you. The Data Recovery Centers are computer shops or stores that offers data restoration, back up or retrieval.
