It is not uncommon for a refilled HP ink cartridge to register as empty. If it was otherwise filled properly, it should yield the correct number of pages, but you may not be able to get the warning light to go out.

You can try tapping the cartridge on a hard surface. This only works sometimes. Be careful not to splash any ink.

• Step 1 Check the back of your computer to make sure that the printer is appropriately connected to the computer and is plugged in. If the printer is not plugged into the computer, find the printer jack on the back of the computer and plug it in before you move on to the next step.

• Step 7 Click on the estimated ink level tab and a graphic will appear indicating how much ink is left in the cartridge.

hi,the reason why it most probaly comes with that error is that the driver is not meant for windows 7,so go on line check hp site, printer drivers and download.

the moving ink frame is probably pointing to a symbol such as replace color ink( three dots on ink cartridge picture). Replace color ink. You are probably printing your black and white documents with colored ink--always select black or greyscale.
