Hi, i need to set temperature for my 6th sense american fridge/freezer.. panel shows -24 deg for freezer and 5 deg for fridge..can you help me pls ?

This has already been answered on Fixya. There is also a video and a copy of your manual. Press and hold the Lock button for 3 seconds.

Child Lock (Water / ice dispenser lock) To lock/unlock the water/ice dispenser and related buttons, press the "Ice mode" and "Light" buttons at the same time until the symbol is displayed and the acoustic signal sounds.

Use this function to chill drinks inside the freezer ... (Sixth Sense Function) ... The "Child Safety", "Key Lock" or "Ice/water dispenser lock".

It is likely to be either the circulation fan in the freezer or the defrost element. The cold air is blown from the freezer into the fridge if the fan doesn't work then no cold in fridge( actually I think there are 2 fans in these, 1 horizontal 1 vertical) otherwise it could be a defrost problem, if the element doesn't work the rear fills up with ice and the air cant flow. Both are behind the rear panel of the freezer

It probably needs a new control board...

Be very careful, when the ice maker malfunctions, many things can be the culprit. The start device on some models of refridgerator for maytag and whirlpool have been recalled. If your appliance was manufactured in the last 5-10 years you may be having an issue with this component. Mine recently caught on fire at this device that is located near the compressor. The freezer should be between -5 to +5 deg.F. The refrigerator should be from 33 to 40 deg. F. but it is really a matter of preference. I set mine around 5 and 33. I like to get my ice cream out and be able to scoop it and I like my milk very cold. Start with the manufacture suggested and then adjust from there with your own preference.

Mine did the same thing today and I just got off the phone with Whirlpool and they said it just means that the 6th Sense technology is activated. If you put a bunch of warm food in the refrigerator or leave the door open for a while, the 6th Sense technology kicks on to return the refrigerator to the set temperature. The flashing 6 should go away once it gets back to the right temperature.

does the fridge have 2 motors or 1 if it have only 1 motor the gas level in the system are low. if it have 2 motors check if the fridge side motor runs
