Could possibly have the reverse feed checked by a professional - it is possible the machine got wet in the metal parts, and is rusted up or clogged up from too much oiling! NOT a quick easy fix

Be sure not to use Singer Needles. They are longer than standard needles. Don't know if this helps, but I did this once on my Huskystar 207 and that is what happened. It also damaged the bobbin thread.

Needle broke then it seized? Could be any number of things from a bent upper arm to a motor that needs servicing. I recommend you take it in for professional repair.

Huskystar 207 Sewing Machine stuck on zig zag stitch

If your Huskystar 207 sewing machine is stuck on zigzag stitch even when you have selected a straight stitch pattern, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the needle position: Make sure that the needle is in the center position. If it is not, you may need to adjust it using the machine's settings.
  2. Check the stitch length and width: Make sure that the stitch length and width are set to the appropriate settings for a straight stitch. Refer to your manual for the correct settings.
  3. Check the tension: If the tension is too loose or too tight, it can cause the machine to sew a zigzag stitch instead of a straight stitch. Make sure the tension is set correctly for the fabric you are working with.
  4. Clean the machine: Sometimes, a buildup of dust and lint can cause the machine to malfunction. Try cleaning the machine, particularly the bobbin case and feed dogs, to see if this resolves the issue.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to take your machine to a professional for repair.

The User Manual does not have a complete stitch guide. Does my Huskystar 207 have a stretch stich?

FWIW, a stretch stitch is simply a stitch that stitches forward a few stitches and then reverses for a couple and then stitches forward again. Having had a machine with a stretch stitch, I found that using a zig-zag is just as effective and uses much less thread as well as less time at the machine. If the fabric is very stretchy, you can merely decrease the stitch length and increase the stitch width to give the stitch enough space to expand with the fabric without popping.
