Sir, I am 58 yrs old having an interest in computers.I have Two Problems.I hope you will extent your help with your knowledge and expertize in solving the problems. 1. The front audio panel when fitted...

As per your information, there might be some problem with front panel microphone.
1(a). please check the internal cable for audio from motherboard to front panel. if possible change the internal cable.
1(b). If not avoid using the front panel and use the extention cables for extending from back points of speaker connection and microphone connection. just like usb extention cable you will find the audio/mike cable extentions can be found in local electronics shop. so that when ever you want you can connect speakers or headphone and also microphone.

2. For entering to BIOS, use either DEL key or F2 key when you power on the pc. In that you can see all the features. -

May be this helps to you.

Can auxiliary speakers be added to a Rowe/AMI Model CD 100K? If so, where do they connect?

Hello,

Yes they can. Above the amplifier compartment you should see the output package. The output package is where the phono speakers are connected to but this can be used to provide output to extention speakers. E1 to E7 tappings left and right provide outputs at different voltages/wattage. E1 left and right is the comon (or ground connection) E2 is the lowest tapping and E7 is the highest. Most people would connect extention speakers to E3 or E4 left & right with the comon connections of the speakers to one of the E1's.
There is also connections for 70 volt line speakers, these are used where long cable runs are needed and the speakers are then fitted with 70 volt drop down transformers to the correct wattage of the speakers. These are available from most good electroic suppliers such as R.S. or Maplins etc.

The static is probably coming from the computer sound card itself. Turn the volume down on the computer mixer it should limit the static you are hearing.

Wired remote cable extension

Most monitor cables have only 14 of the pins connected, but if you get a fully wired svga extention cable it does work fine.

Sony MDR-V150 Headphones

hi Mrguitar
Happy holidays
Depending on the conector size and for the computer, I suggest go to Radio Shack and buy a extention jack to the headphone for your particular sound card, and headphone. this should work. sometimes the new conectors don't fit well on the sound cards. so change for an extention I send you a link of example
