Where is the flywheel located on an Echo PB251 gas leaf blower?

I replaced the replaced the carburetor so now the blower is getting gas into the cylinder, and it has plenty of spark, so the flywheel is now the only possible reason for the blower not starting. I would like to know WHERE the flywheel is located on my PB251 blower? Which side and what needs to be removed to get to it? I have a bad feeling that the flywheel key is sheered, and the flywheel needs to be replaced, since this seems to be common on this model Echo blower.

Before you go through the trouble of dismantling the blower to get to the flywheel you should perform a compression test. 140 psi is ideal. Less than 100 its probably not worth repairing. Less than 90 it shouldn't run.

SOURCE: cant get fuel into cylinder will not fire

Carburetor may need rebuild, sound like diaphragm are not pumping fuel.
I would get a compression test on the cylinder to see if it is at 100 psi. This is the compression the cylinder needs to be at to run. You may pay a few dollars to get a shop to do this but it will tell you if it is worth fixing before you spend alot of money.

I suggest cleaning the carburetor and replacing the diaphrams. The diaphrams come with a rebuild kit that has a lot of unused parts.

What happens if you use 40:1 fuel to oil mix in a 50:1 echo pb251 leaf blower engine?

it is always better to use to much oil than not enough, using not enough will cause major damage to the engine. The oil in the gas mix is what lubes the cylinder/rings against the cylinder walls. 40:1 is way lean of oil for a 50:1 mix engine

ECHO PB251 BLOWER. Noticed fuel running out of muffler. Cleaned spark screen, installed new airfilter, fuel vent, fuel filter. Ran unit - engine quit while at full rpms - will not start. Clicking noise...

Your flywheel has come loose on enj., this throws the timing off so it is firing at all different times except for when it's supposed to. therefore raw fuel is running right through the cylinder and out exhaust, If you are lucky you won't have to replace the 60.00 flywheel! remove fan side of case, and remove blower wheel, then flywheel nut then flywheel, it has a built in key in it, usually this is wasted from coming loose, make sure you use loctite and an impact to tighten flywheel nut back after you repair/replace flywheel.

Will not start

assuming that the carburetor is getting gas; the next thing you should check is that the imbeded magnet on the flywheel is clear and free of Rust and that the air gap is correct.

I have a PB251 that I purchased from Home Depot as a refurbished unit. It has new plug, carb and all new filters. PB251 runs fine with a full tank, but when down to a half of a tank it stalls out and won't...

its possible the gas pickup tube inside the tank is bent and not reaching the lower tank, this is just a flexible tube in the tank, otherwise, loosen the gas cap when it kills, sometimes they go bad and create a vapor lock

I have an echo gas powered leaf blower, model pb251. it will start and idol, but wont run any faster than that, and throttle cable seems to be ok.

I just fixed my Echo PB 2100 with the same issue. It would start, run, all throttle openings OK but would not rev-up. It was a dirty/clogged screen on the muffler. Scraped the thick tar off then used Lacquer Thinner to soak it clean. Blower works better than ever now....
