Had the same problem and discovered the motor driving the mechanism was not properly aligned. Remove the film. Take the back off the camera by removing all the screws you can see plus one under the cover where the film exits and 2 in the battery compartment. Loosen or remove the 2 screws holding the motor. The motor is located just down from the viewfinder, on top of the push button to take a picture. Turn the camera on and take a picture. The motor and gears should work, Let it run through its cycle and tighten the screws when the motor is in the proper position for smooth operation. I had to use 2 screws from the camera body to get the motor to stay in the proper position. ( i used the ones from the battery compartment)
camera now works as it should.
If all brightness indicators are flashing, that means either you have flat batteries or incorrect batteries fitted. This instax camera only work with alkaline batteries and do not use any batteries other than alkaline batteries.
i have changed the batteries as well as the film pack but stiill it does not work.. what do i do?? thanks!!
did not work for me neither!
