Ringing is assigned in system programming, very little chance it was changed by mistake. If Do-Not-Disturb was turned on, that could make a phone stop ringing. If it's just one line on a phone, maybe the system got put in night mode by mistake and night programming isn't identical to day ring. If you have direct access to the phone line check it for dial tone. Often virtual lines are used and you can't check for direct dial tone. On very rare occasion the ringer stops working, which can't be fixed.

hi,1.to adjust the ring tone volume. from your phone set, press speaker dial 601.press the arrow key up or down to adjust. 2. if your station is programmed as system admin phone, then you can press feature 80 feature.to toggle between day or night.do not press speaker button while doing this. 3.the headset port need to be program,or you can do without it,by purchasing the headset came with the adapter and connect thru the handset cord. the new model is DTH-16D. SOURCE: Blinking light but no ring sound on incoming calls

This is a phone system phone and each station you want to ring when a certain phone line rings has to be programmed into the system. This is not something you can change at the phone itself. You will either need to pay a company to make programming changes or locate a programming and installation manual for your phone system (not the phone) and try to re-program it yourself. If you have not done this before it will not be easy but it may be worth the effort so you can continue to make your own changes instead of paying someone $200 per hour to do it for you.

There is also the remote possibility your phone's ringer is broken. You can try swapping your phone with another of the same type and model to see if it will ring.

SOURCE: I need to program a HeadSet Button

For the DTU phone on an NEC Elite system:
Memory Block 4-12
put in the port number and the Lkey of the extension you want to make a headset key.
Programmin on a 16button phone, Lkey 11 needs to be lit and will display H SET to verify.

For the DTP phone, it is generally on an NEC 2000, which is entirely different.

Dtu 16d ringer is off at other stations. I need to get the phone to ring on the other stations.

Hello, That would be a system ring group programming feature. It would depend on the type of phone system you have. NEC Elite 192, Elite IPK, Elite IPK 2. There are different platforms and this would determine how to program it.

NEC DTU 16D 1A not ringing

Your PABX line settings need to be programmed for "ringing" as incoming call notification for each specific assigned number (wired port assignment).

"NEC DTU-16D-2" Need it to ring!

Woo Hoo! I figured this one out on my own!

However...WARNING! I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you are technically savvy, as one wrong move could totally mess up all of your phones!!!

I searched and downloaded the Programming Manual from here: http://www.nec.co.th/html/download/Manual/Programming.pdf.

This manual will not only tell you how to fix this issue, but how to pretty much fix/change all programming for the NEC Electra Elite DTU-16D-2 phones.

I have also searched and downloaded the Feature Manual from here: http://www.nec.co.th/html/download/Manual/Features%20&%20Specifications.pdf

Happy Programming! =)

Ringer Volume

I am assuming this is on a DTU 16D nec phone. On the right side of the phone is a volume up and down button. If someone calls you, you adjust this while the phone is ringing. If you adjust it after you answer it controls the voice volume (what you hear through the ear piece) if you adjust it while the handset is down but there is no one calling you it adjusts the display contrast on the phone.
