Take out battery, put back in, switch on. Presto!

Your battery is dead. Replace with a new genuine motorola battery to overcome this error.

check the batteries..charge them and use it..may the battery must be worn out so replace the batteries...or only keypad lights are on and display is off then replace the display..an new display would b around 300 INR.

I called Uniden about the same problem.  They say it is a code that means it is defective base unit.  I had purchased it within one year and they will gladly send me a new one.  I don't know if they will offer anything beyond the one year mark. 

They say it was a spike in the power lines that causes this error.
