I have typed an email and tried to save it to my drafts without giving the email a subject. And then when I went to retrieve the draft yahoo couldn't open the draft and had said "yahoo mail is having trouble retrieving the original email" when i go in my drafts it shows the time I saved the email to my draft but it wont allow me to open the draft. How can I retrieve the email and open it?

Yahoo emails are automatically saved to Drafts as you prepare them. There is no manual method to do same. Don't bother trying to ring Yahoo; those phone numbers are usually spam associated. There is an email address there you can write to but don't expect a timely answer.

As soon as you Send the email it is removed from the Drafts folder and placed in the Sent. Ps. Don't do as I did when waiting for an email to go ... Do NOT delete any in the Drafts folder ... I did and it deleted the email completely ... not even made the Delete box.

I don't think that it is a good idea for you to leave emails without a header to describe them (you could easily change these before you send anyways). I can see Yahoo emails being deleted by mistake if you leave this area blank ... so easy to delete the wrong ones too. I would at least pop a number or letter in to help it distinguish one from another.

Good luck.
I have used Yahoo emails for years. Computer version is okay but I hate the iPad version ... to do a mass delete on iPad version (erosion!) you have to click boxes for every single jolly email there ... I like to clear my Delete box frequently. The mobile phone version is even better than that iPad version. Cheers ??????

I am guessing that Yahoo screwed it up. I often save mine without a title, and have in fact just checked one of mine and it is OK so I am pretty sure that it has gone the way of steam trains!!
Sorry I cannot be more helpful.

My only suggestion is to try and contact yahoo about their mail program. 1-800-318-0612 This is the only contact I see. It's about accessing your account. Not sure if it's automated or manned. It's worth a try.

All of my Drafts folder was emptied, and I did NOT delete any of them, and there were some important data...where are they?

Try searching for a particular 'keyword' in the Yahoo Mail Search Bar. It may well have been 'archived' accidentally rather than deleted. Archiving stores email in a non-descript folder which minimizes mailbox usage (MB)

When i reply to emails sometimes the message does not register in the sent folder but goes in the draft folder instead, how do i know if my email has been sent?

They will only go to the draft folder if you accidentally click the Save to Draft option instead of Send. It is very easy to do! If an email has been sent it will go, by default, to the Sent folder.

If you locate the email that you have replied to or sent then highlight it and then right click on it a drop down list will appear.

Select and click the View Full Headers option at the bottom of the list. This will give a popup window containing header info. If you read through it will show the following:

  1. From which should be your email plus the date and time
  2. a whole bunch of misc characters
  3. From with your name / email address shown
  4. Subject – whatever the email subject was
  5. To – Name / email address of who you sent the email to or replied to
  6. Content Type – plus some unintelligible info
  7. Content Length – which is the true size of the email plus any attachments.

If you can see this then it conforms that you message has been successfully sent from you email account.

Note: It does not show or guarantee that the email has been received or read at the recipients end.
