You will need to get a "regular" Universal remote and program it for that particular model of TV. You will need to access the on screen setup menu for the TV and then have it scan the channels. Make sure your DTV box is on and connected with the coaxial cable. If the "TV Input" button on your DTV remote works and you can get it onto the Video Channel, You can connect your DTV receiver with the RCA Cables (Red, White and Yellow) and get your picture that way. If you access the on screen menu, you will need to scan for Analog and Digital channels as the receiver transmits in Analog. hope this helps.
Hi, sounds like you are in Analouge mode and not in DTV mode so you can't access the DTV menu to tune in the tv.
Press the 'SOURCE' button and move to DTV using the arrow keys, then press ok and if channels aren't already tuned you will now be able to tune them by accessing the DTV menu by pressing the 'MENU' key on the remote control.
If you don't have the manual you can download it or view it by clicking ----> HERE Hope this helps.
I don't think you can use an antenna only. You will need a DTV converter, as your VCR probably has an analog tuner (no longer usable), and your TV has no tuner at all. I believe you'll need to add a DTV converter and use the tuner in the VCR to switch channels. It will cost around $50 or so.
With this model you can access everything apart from the DTV menus inc DTV tuning without the remote, for DTV menus and tuning you must use the remote.
i've just some digging around and found that you can access a service menu and perform a reset which sorted the issue for me.
Access the service menu by pressing, in order, whilst the tv is in stand-by mode:
info menu mute power
when the tv comes back on you will have a service menu; select option 12 (reset) the tv will then switch off.
this will reset your TV back to factory defaults.
turn
tv back on and you should be prompted to go through the plug and play
setup again - go through everything and then all should start working
OK (it did for me)
