Started wash cycle and got to suds stage and stopped rinsing
Hi I'm a appliance technician, check the base of there is any water, 98% there is nothing, these are some of the area you need to (1)check the heater located inside circulation pump, (2) solder point heater relay on control module, (3)look for sign of leak, soapy water is alot thinner than just water, you might get small amount leaking from sump, and it will short out the micro switch on the floor switch, the mark will be very faint.
E15 fault is water into base and has activated the anti flooding device.
You will need to remove the water from base and investigate for leaks.
SOURCE: Bosch Diswasher not draining
Soyben, you need to check to see if either the drain hose or syphon break at the sink is clogged. The drain motor on this model is not a bilge pump that will remove water from the base. Therefore Im leaning on a restriction somewhere. Other than that you may have to check for debris in the drain sump. Check these areas out first...Catriver...post back

Don't be afraid now, but , what I'n going to tell you works VERY often. Pour two cups of bleach into the washer and let it run a potscrubber cycle. They do this all the time at restaraunts, yes really! Let me know how this turns out. P.S. leave the machine empty when you run it. Thanks, Dana

Hello,
Welcome to FixYa.
Based on your description I'd say the issue actually is with the control...unfortunately. This is commonly associated with a heating fault as you suspected, hence the odor and poor cleaning on Bosch built dishwashers ( various models including Bosch, Thermador, Siemens, Gaggenau, and Neff ).
Since the issue is likely within the electronic timer/control, specifically the heater relay solder joint. ( a faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable ). These are the steps you'll need to follow to resolve it or at least investigate.
If you feel capable of checking this on your own, there`s a way to visually inspect the control yourself...it really isn't very complicated.
It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board.
The culprit will 99% of the times be one of the pins from the heater relay,
**Flip this over and inspect the solder joints, it will be obvious when you see it.**
This ones new, but it's where to look...
...hence the unit sit`s and takes longer & longer to finish because it can`t heat to advance or unless the 2 buttons for "cancel" are pressed...this can also manifest as a long cycle time as I mentioned and eventually display's "1" on units with a display and usually very poor cleaning, no heating ( don't be fooled by the homes inlet hot water temperature ) as a result.
You can also run the unit through a regular or econo cycle ...any cycle with the exception of rinse & hold, and with the door panel removed place an ammeter on the gray/black wire it should draw 11 amps during the wash cycle...after it fills and the flow switch indicates it has adequate water to engage the heater.
i.e. ( this may differ from your specific model, but the same rules apply )
**My Opinion - if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...but it has to be done well...or it will not last. Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on their behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)**
**Please disconnect the power or turn off the breaker before attempting any service to the dishwasher.**
If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau/Siemens, to service your machine.
Thank`s for visiting "FixYa" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness.
Good luck.

What does the Sd code mean?
This code indicates that excessive detergent suds occurred during the cycle. The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds. When "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the washer pauses the wash action and adds water for additional rinsing. This pause allows the bubbles in the suds to break. This process is necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds.
Concentrated detergents labeled 2x and higher will require a small amount of detergent based on load size. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
Use only HE High Efficiency detergent for BravosTM washers.
Is "Sd" displayed and the wash cycle dial is flashing? This indicates the washer was not able to clear all the excess suds from the washer. Re-select your desired cycle using cold water. Press Start/Pause. Do not add detergent. Is "Sd" displayed and the wash cycle dial is not flashing? If "Sd" is displayed and the wash cycle dial is not flashing, allow the machine to continue running, even if it appears that nothing is happening. When "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the wash action will pause to allow the bubbles in the suds to break, and the washer will add water for better rinsing. This rinsing process is necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds. Is the drain hose kinked or clogged? Make sure that the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. Straighten the hose for adequate water flow. Remove any blockage from the drain hose, drainpipe or utility sink. Use the U-shaped drain hose form on the drain hose, and secure the drain hose. To remove the error display, press Power/Cancel or Pause/Cancel once.
If Power/Cancel or Pause/Cancel does not work: NOTE: If the error remains on the display, and all of the other questions above have been checked, call for service.
