41.3 MEDIA TOO SHORT CANNOT SEND TO FACE DOWN OUTPUT BIN ?

I have replaced the rollers, The paper path is clear, I have tested the output bin, fuser and duplexer on another device and still receiving the error. I am in a hospital environment so the face up option is not an option. The paper seems to jam before getting to the output bin (3 tray) but as I stated I tried a known good bin and received the same results. I will tear apart to check for swing plate damage and provide a deep clean for the machine while I await a response.

SOURCE: 4350dtn 41.3 error..help!

It sounds like the registration switch actuator is being held down too long.

Also check registration clutch and make sure cassette tray is lifting all the way up and feed rollers are "snapped" in tight. Good luck.

Weird problem!

Here's how you can troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
  1. Turn Off the Printer: Start by turning off the printer and unplugging it from the power source. This will prevent any further damage and ensure your safety during the troubleshooting process.
  2. Open the Printer Covers: Carefully open all the printer covers, including the front cover, rear cover, and any other access points to the fuser unit.
  3. Check for Jammed Paper: Inspect the fuser unit and its surrounding areas for any jammed or crumpled paper. Carefully remove any paper you find, making sure not to tear it, as torn pieces can be more challenging to remove.
  4. Clear Paper Path: Check the entire paper path, including the input trays, output trays, and any other areas, for any residual paper or debris. Clear any obstructions you find.
  5. Check Fuser Unit: Inspect the fuser unit itself for any damage or foreign objects that may be causing the jam. Make sure the fuser rollers are clean and not worn out.
  6. Test Printer: After clearing any paper jams and ensuring the fuser unit is in good condition, close all printer covers securely. Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on. Run a test print to see if the error has been resolved.
  7. Reset Printer (if necessary): If the error persists, try resetting the printer. Refer to the printer's user manual or Xerox's support documentation for instructions on how to reset the printer.

13.20.00 paper jam. But there is no paper in the system. I checked from all sides but there is no paper in it. I restarted to check if the paper path is cleared but no change.

13.20.00 JAM INSIDE <LOCATION>

Paper has not moved past a certain paper
sensor. <LOCATION> can be one of the
following locations.

? TRAY 2
Remove the tray, and then check the
paper path for obstructions. Perform a
manual sensor test and observe the prefeed
sensor (PS102) status (B). Toggle
the sensor flag to determine if the status
changes.
? TOP COVER
Remove the print cartridge, and then
check the paper path for obstructions.
Verify that the top-of-page sensor
(PS103) and the media width sensors
(PS106 and PS108) are unblocked.
Perform a manual sensor test and
observe the status of these sensors.
Toggle the sensor flags to determine if
their status changes.
? REAR DOOR
Open or remove the rear face-up bin,
and then check the paper path on each
side of the fusing assembly for
obstructions. Remove the fuser, if
necessary. Perform a manual sensor
test and observe the fuser delivery
sensor (PS700) status (C). Toggle the
sensor flag to determine if the status
changes.
? DUPLEXER (only printers with duplex)
Remove the duplexer, and then check
the paper path for obstructions. If the
message persists, replace the duplexer.

HP Laserjet Error Codes 0 - 19 Message on printer Display Panel What it means. What to do. 13.XX PAPER JAM [LOCATION] Media is jammed at the specified location (and possibly at other locations). If the message persists after all jams have been cleared, a sensor or sensor lever might be stuck or broken. For all jam messages, do the following: 1. Remove jammed print media from the specified location. Check the entire paper path for other pieces of media in the path. 2. Open and close the top cover to clear the message. 3. Check sensors and flags in the paper path for proper operation. 3.0 PAPER JAM [LOCATION] A non-specific paper jam occurred. 1. Remove jammed media from the specified location. 2. Verify the paper tray is fully closed. 3. Inspect and/or replace the feed and separation rollers. 4. Ensure there is no obstruction in the path, such as a torn piece of paper. 5. Open and close the top cover to clear the message. 6. Check sensors and flags for proper operation. 13.1 PAPER JAM OPEN INPUT TRAYS Paper-delay jam at paperfeed area. 1. Ensure that paper trays are loaded and adjusted properly so media can feed from the tray. It might be necessary to reduce the stack height of media in the tray. 2. Check the input area for obstructions such as media in the path. Also check to see if the registration assembly damaged or unseated. 3. Replace any defective sensors or flags. 4. Verify the media meets the specifications. 5. Check the pickup feed and separation rollers for unusual wear. Replace as needed. 6. Rotate the media in the input tray by 180° and/or turn it over On NX engines this is most likely the fuser flag or the ACPM. HP LJ P3005 13.31.00 ERROR

Hi,
As i can understand whenever you try to print with rear door closed printed page should come on top from top output roller however paper gets jammed.
Solution:
Try to print a page using rear door open and it should come out from the rear drop down tray it printed page comes out successfully with rear flap open than paper gets jammed at top due to faulty top output roller.
However if the paper gets jammed at fuser with rear door closed than it is issue with fuser in that case you need to get fuser replaced at the same time replace 20 tooth gear next to fuser.

Thanks and Regards

How to clear paper jam in output bin

The printed page comes through the hot fuser at the top of the printer, through the exit rollers an end up in the exit bin.
We cleared a massive paper jam out of the fuser, by removing the grey surround on top of the printer. The plastic hooks that hold it in place get broken in the process, then you will the jammed paper between the fuser rollers, and the exit rollers. A technician can do it for you, but is unessersarly costly.

Hp 4100 paper is jammed between rollers the back panel should come off? and then how do I get fuser out to unjam paper

Hi Jacque,
I gather the paper has got into the fuser and cannot get into the output bin. Few things...
1. Clean output rollers. Are rollers moving?
2. Check gears on the fuser unit. Any broken or worn gears?
3. Check default paper size setting in printer, paper size setting on tray, paper size setting in printer driver and document page.
4. Leave the back door open. Does the printer still jams? If it does, see it could be paper pick up problem. Use different trays or the manual feed. Also the fuser unit could be the problem.
5. All else fails, replace the output assembly.

PAPER JAM

Look for a "jam door" at the rear of your printer (if so equipped).

You will need : 1 can of "compressed air", 1 container of ether rubbing alcohol or some form of Goo-Gone.

1. In short blasts (NOT LONG ONES) blow through the paper path. Open any paper jam access trays before doing this so the bits escape.

2. Using a SMALL amount of Goo-Gone and either a Q-Tip or small dust free cloth, clean all the rubber rollers on the bars. Cheap paper leaves a fine dust and after time will make the wheels very slick.

Doing this every other month can save you from jams and is just a good maintenance plan for your printer.

Also don't use 'cheap paper'.

Good luck! :)
