Central air blows 3amp fuse

Hello, check the thermostat wiring between the indoor unit and outiside unit and make sure it is secure. Also check the contactor coil on the outside unit and make sure none of the wires are loose and touching metal. You csn also unhook the wires and put them back one at a time and see which one blows the fuse.

My central air conditioner is making a whistling noise in the inside unit when the compressor is running. It's not the blower because the noise stops after the outdoor unit shuts off. It's also not blowing...

Hello,
If there is no cooling (meaning no cold pipes and not blowing cold air) then check the outdoor A/C for any visible/obvious issues; breakers not tripped, no debris blocking the outside unit from passing air through it, etc. If all looks ok, you can start checking some things inside of the unit if you feel comfortable doing so. Also, most indoor heaters have a higher speed/rpm for the fan when the cooling kicks on, and the heat runs on a lower speed/rpm.

Hope this helps James

THE AIR IS COLD BUT ONLY AT THE VENT FAN DOES NOT BLOW HIGH ENOUGH

In central HVAC systems, the fan motors will sometimes have a dual motor speed. You may need the higher setting. If you are already at the higher setting, you may need a diverter in the system or bigger unit (more tonnage).

Central air Goodman ck30-1a blowing fuses?

I don't know what you use to heat your house, (heat pump, gas, oil) but if it is not a heat pump, i.e.. you don't use the outdoor unit to produce both heat and cooling, then the first place to look is at the compressor in the condensing unit (outdoor unit). If you have a bad capacitor, it will cause the compressor to pull locked rotor amperage (LRA) for an extended period of time and will cause the fuse to trip (usually within 2 or 3 seconds) The other possibility would be that something got into the wiring and have created a short. I have seen more insect and rodent damage to wires then you can imagine, so this is also a high possibility. Hope this helps

Amana central heat and air unit use to blow cold air through all the vents. Now the 2 hardest blowing vents close to the air handler barely even blow out cool air while all the other vents still blow very...

Visually inspect the duct run connections to the main trunk. It is possible that they have loosened and are losing air under the house. Also inspect the duct runs from the trunk connection to the vent connection. You want to check for any damage or other failure. It is rare to find dampers in individual runs in residential duct systems; however, it is another possibility.

Central air conditoner unit doesnt blow cool air into home has some ice on the inlet heat and cooling lines going into the central air unit

Change the furnace filter. Make sure you use a cheap one when air conditioning, as the better ones restrict airflow when they filter out so much stuff and then plug up, not allowing enough air to pass over the cooling coil in the furnace's air plenum. Turn the A/C off for a few hours (with only the furnace fan on if possible) to melt the ice off the cooling unit inside the furnace.
