Model4210battry won't recharge, is it worth ordering a battery?

Reading the list of problems with this product is it worth purchasing a
replacement battery, mine was minimally used when battery stopped
recharging, I have had it several years now, not sure whether I should
pitch it or try replacing the battery. Recommendations?

Don't buy a new battery yet. you can reset the battery by charging for 16 hours, if this does not work, you need to take the battery out, push and hold the power button on your roomba for at least 15 seconds then reinstall the battery. plug in the charger directly to roomba not the docking station and charge until the battery light on the roomba is green. do not interrupt the battery charging cycle. after, leave the roomba charging for an additional 3 days or 72 hours. after, run roomba in max mode and run it till the battery is completely depleted. this will improve the battery overtime by charging again for 72 hours and depleting the battery. do this 3 or 4 times. and the battery should get better

I had the same issue with my 4210. If the unit is more than a year and a half old, and the above listed fix does not work, I would get a new battery.

Don't buy one from irobot or you will have the same issue in a year or so. I got a NIMH 3800ma battery from ebay for about $30. It has been running stronger and longer than the original APS battery.

My vacuum runs down quickly. What is the best way to charge it up. I plug it in after using it every time ?

Hello, Janrt -

Depending upon how old the vacuum cleaner is, the rechargeable battery may need to be replaced so that the battery will hold a charge longer than it does now.

Rechargeable batteries do not last forever.

You will need to find the right replacement rechargeable battery for your vacuum cleaner. The web site for the maker of your vacuum may offer the right replacement batteries for sale.

Note: I have found that some replacement rechargeable batteries for some items cost more than the price of purchasing a replacement appliance.

Best wishes.

I have a scunci rechargeable wet and dry vac. Model 52069. I plugged it in to charge green light turns on. Couple hours later I unplug it and push the button nothing. Need instructions or manual.

Most likely the rechargeable battery needs to be replaced.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a battery pack listed anywhere. You'll probably have to have a company like Batteries + Bulbs (In the USA) take it apart and replace the battery pack.

Rechargeable vacuum cleaner, 2years old, battery will not charge, when in place for charging the middle light shows red for a while then goes out, filters cleaned all in place, any suggestions please?

When the batteries fail they typically do not accept and hold a charge which is the problem you now have.

If you can purchase a replacement battery, and as long as the batteries are replaceable in the appliance (some are not), you can run the cleaner again..

Replace a battery in a Hoover jovis

I checked some reviews of this product, and one mentioned, (QUOTE), They called Hoover and asked to asked to buy a replacement battery, and guess what? They don't make one available. (UNQUOTE)
I only found that it just has to be recharged very, often.
When a Company puts out a bad product, across the board, explain to them your dismay, & ask for your money back. I have personally gotten products that didn't work, replaced, and they even sent me a shipping label to send to bad one back. Since this particular product has such bad reviews, tell that to the Company, and maybe you can get your $ back. Don't give up, there ARE Great Companies out there, still!

Batteries are dead will not recharge

I do believe the company sells their own batteries for your product and even if they dont, you can always buy them yourself.First look on the back of your product and see what size you will need.

Black & Decker 9.6 V Dust Buster --- how do you remove (for replacing) the rechargeable battery.

Response by small6363 was right on target. All the reviews and comments I had read up to this point for my Dustbuster CHV9600 indicated the battery could not be replaced. I am so glad this link was here.I have ordered the part and will follow the other posters' cautions about reassembling the product. I could not be happier as I could not find the model anymore and it is my favorite purple color. Thanks again small6363. You are a life saver.

Assuming that you've tried a different electrical outlet, it may have a defective charger or a totally dead rechargeable battery.

I have a Dirt Devil Broom Vac that won't hold a charge. I need to replace the rechargeable battery. Is there a dealer near Bartlett, TN that can do that or would I be able to do it myself if I bought a new battery?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The only place that I know if to contact the Royal factory cust serv line listed below or to check the website and they may direct you to a local dealer in your area. All you would need is a new rechargeable battery and you can do it yourself. The problem that I see is that the new rechargeable battery may cost as much as a new vacuum if you consider the part plus shipping and handling. So, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Rechargeable battery does not recharge

They are nickel cadminum batteries, and are replaceable, you may have to order from a repair shop, or go thehooverstore.com. Once you have the battery pack out, maybe you can find them like at Radio Shack or other places that sell these type packs,
