Wavy, fuzy glare effect on Mitsubishi WD-73732 73 projection TV

Hello and Thanks in advance for any help on this problem. I have a fabulous Mitsubishi WD-73732 73 in. projection TV. About 2 years plus old now. No problems until recently.There's a fuzzy sheen, wavy, almost like a glare, or the effect you get when pushing on an LCD screen. Its not the entire picture, but not in one spot and varies and depends on whats on the screen. The blues, greys, whites seem most effected. Replaced the buld about 8 months ago so I don't think its that. No unusual noises from the back of the set. Thanks for any light you can shed on this! John
