First and foremost ppb330 is a model number for a grass line trimmer, gas model.
Second, I am unsure what you are asking. Gap coil?? Do you need the spark plug gap for your chainsaw? That gap is .025.

I hope this helps. If not, please re-post with the correct model number for you chainsaw.

Clearance from coil to flywheel should be around .010

SOURCE: coil gap

Remove the plug. Place a business or index card between the coil and flywheel. Rotate the flywheel until the magnet holds the coil tightly against the card, tighten all fasteners. Rotate the flywheel until the magnetic attraction eases and remove the card. Rotate the flywheel through a couple of revolutions and ensure nothing drags or contacts the flywheel. HTH

SOURCE: air gap setting

I assume you are speaking of the ignition module pole gap to the flywheel. Rotate the flywheel magnets under the ignition module poles, and use a thin business card for a gauge. With the card in place, loosen the module screws and allow it to contact the magnets, then re-tighten the screws. Rotate the flywheel to remove the card, then turn the flywheel one full turn to make sure the gap does not close up at any point. Don't forget the ignition switch wire. Hope this helps!

How to test a poulan pro 31cc ppb 250e gas string trimmer kill switch

The proper way to test it is with an ohm meter by doing a continuity test. If your switch isn't working on the machine, there is the possibility that the wire from it that connects to the coil module is loose or is off. I would check for that first and then do the continuity test if needed. The coil is under the front cover of the machine and will require disassembly to access where the black switch wire spade terminal is.

This is a Poulan Pro Link model PPB 250E week

Take the casing off of trimmer and see if the one of the wires to the on/off switch is touching the engine.
Or it may even be a fuel line. If this is the case, look for damage to the fuel lines as well.
