SOURCE: Front Glass Door Panel on Jenn-Air JDB1270AWF Dishwasher

Hi again,

You think that liquid nails would be too permanent, so you're wondering if I can suggest an adhesive that would 1) not react adversely with the white paint on the glass panel 2) would not dissolve the black rubber-like adhesive (which has let go) that's between the glass panel and the small brackets, and 3) would be strong enough to hold the glass panel, which is where the DW handle/pull is located, and which is subject to stress caused by constant opening and closing.

Different adhesives are available in diferent parts of the country and they are all subject to proper instalation. So I'm going to sugest some guide lines. 1) You're going to have to do a little leg work. You're going to talk to different people in different hardware stores telling them about your three requirements. You'll be surprised at the varying degrees of knowledge. Don't argue, just take notes. 2) Once you've settled on a product it's time to test it. Find a small piece of glass and aply it to metal useing the adhesive. After drying you can tell if it is satisfactory. If not go back to no.1.
3) Once you're happy with the test find a pair of C-clamps and two blocks of wood. Aply adhesive, then using the wood blocks to protect the glass use the C-clamps on each side. Be carefull not to overtighten. Do this with the door horizontally. Just watch the adhesive, when it starts to squeeze out, stop. Make sure the clamps are aplyed evenly. Be carefull. Good luck.

SOURCE: Jenn Air dishwasher leaking

the emptying valve is underneath in the middle normally and it is what the drain hose connects to on the dishwasher. The drain hose itself is connecting with either a c clamp or hose clamp, check to make sure it is tightened all the way. Also do you have an idea of what part of the dishwasher the leak is coming from? If it is not the drain valve, then check to make sure it is not leaking from the door itself, as the door just has a rubber gasket that seals it and it might be that the gasket is bad. If it's not the door and not the drain valve, it could then be coming from the drainage pump or the motor for the dishwasher, which means the seal is broken and the motor or pump would need replaced. If you are unsure of how to do so then i would contact a repair technician to fix it for you.

I have a Jenn Air dishwasher and the door latch mechanism has been "locked" but teh door is in the open position, how do I unlock the mechanism. I have pushed the het button three seconds but this me

This happened to me. After replacing the board for $100, still happened. I messed with it myself... Reach under the counter to where the "catch" is. Mine is white plastic. Mine had a bit of movement side to side (like 3mm). Try sliding it to one side or the other and see if the door will shut. I spent $100 I did not need to spend and hand washed dishes for 6 days waiting for the part! Good luck

Jenn-air quiet series Model JDB8910AWW Dishes seemed to wash OK, but did not rinse. There is water (soapy) in the bottom. What do I do?

It is likely the drain function did not work.

Empty the dishwasher and clean the filters at the bottom. You will need a small container to empty the water and also use a towel to soak the remaining water.

If cleaning the filters does not help then there may be a blockage in the drain hose (check the kitchen sink side also). You may want to also confirm if the drain pump is operating at the right time in the cycle.

you could refer to this diagram for the parts involved.

Good luck.

Hi,

The scum, film and white residue problems have started since the reduction of phosphates in dishwasher detergents.

Here is a tip that will help you to solve the problem of films, residue, and scum in your dishwasher.

How do you gain access to the Front Panel circut board? On a Jenn Air JDB8910AWW Dishwasher? If I want to check the soldering connections, I don't want to open up areas which would make more work for me....

the front panel control board is accessed by taking off the inside door panel that will release the control panel so you can get to the control board but do not try to solder connections on the board just replace the complete board
