I have an older PT-60LC14 and it blinks 5 red in five seconds then 2 orange immediately afterwards. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! It has been shutting off lately.

Presumably you have consulted the troubleshooting guide on p83 of the operator's guide (http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/PT43LC14.PDF) ?
None of the problems listed there are an exact match for your description, and some of the 'solutions' are not what you want to hear (return to a dealer or Panasonic service centre), but it might give you some ideas.
You might try contacting Panasonic directly for advice describing the symptoms: they ought to be able to at least tell you what the flashing light codes mean.
You might also try getting hold of the Service manual for your TV which might describe the problem more accurately than the operator's guide. see eg http://servicemanualrepairs.com/book/panasonic-pt-50lc14-60lc14-43lc14-service-manual-repair-guide/ (purchase option. There is more than one manual available, and they cover more than one product, but they include the 60" model) This seems to be a free download. the download link is apparently in quite small (ordinary) print. Watch out for advertising/download managers/unwanted software etc.

I own a Panasonic PT-60LC14 DLP TV. After the tv has been on for awhile, the red color drops from the picture. I have to turn ther tv off and then on again to get it to come back. Has anyone had this...

i used to be a tv technician.it sounds like an intermitent fault, which only does it sometimes.most likely cause is dry joints on circuit board, which is faded or discoloureded solder.try resoldering dry joints ,faded or discoloured solder on circuit board.as its an intermitent problem so it sounds like dry joints on circuit board which is faded solder, which means only half of the current is passing through the circuit..resoldering will allow the full current to go through circuit.
