The antennas on both 1,2 are blinking how can i get them to stop and to connect to my phone line, and plus they say that no link.reconnect base ac adaptor? And how to reset them to work again?

When both handsets have the antenna symbols blinking the base set is not working. So check that part. It has nothing to do with the phone line, because the connection between base station and handset should also work without the line connected. Check the power supply of the base station or its cable. When you are 100% sure the power supply is giving the correct voltage and enoug current I'm affraid the base station is defect.

No Link to Base - - Walk closer to base and try again --

You should try resetting both the base and handset but removing their power supply/batteries and then reconnecting their power supply/batteries. You can also check and see if there is a registration option on the handset that will re-link it with the base. Could just be broken though!

October 10th, 2013 at 9:19 amPROBLEM:
After de-registering handset, handset displays [REGISTRATION FAILED; UNAVAILABLE] when trying to register handset.
This worked for my UNIDEN TRU-9480-2
SOLUTION:
1) Remove handset from base
2) Remove power cord from back of base
3) Press and hold the [find hs] button on base as you plug the power supply back in; the charge light should then be blinking.
4) Return handset to base and it should register
GOOD LUCK!! HOPE THIS HELPS!!

I get Warning! use rechargeable batteries only. But they r rechareable, and changing them doesn't help

Reboot the base :
-Make sure the handset is HF and not on the base.
-Disconnect the base from the power supply and remove the batteries (only the base's, don't remove the handset:s batteries), soon, after a few seconds at most, the handset not finding the base when scanning for it, should go off by itself.
-Wait a moment (60 sec should be plenty) then reverse the last step (batteries+power-supply).
When reboot is completed (watch for the normal screen on the LED display) just put the handset back on the base again, 'voila' !

I am trying to replace a handeset on my E5640 answering system. I have followed the procedures to deregister the existing handsets but it will not accept the base code for the last one. The handset I am...

  • Your telephone can accommodate up to four cordless handsets. You can add new handsets (Model E560-2, sold separately) at any time, but each must be registered with the base before use.
  • The handset provided with your telephone is automatically registered as Handset 1.
  • Additional handsets will be assigned numbers in the order they are registered (2, 3 or 4). You can register a maximum of four handsets.
To de-register all handsets
• Unplug the power supply from the base unit.
• Remove all handsets from the charge cradles and base.
• Plug in the power supply while pressing and holding the HANDSET LOCATOR button.
• Continue pressing HANDSET LOCATOR until the IN USE and CHARGING indicators are lit (this could take up to 10 seconds).
• Release the HANDSET LOCATOR button.
• All handsets will display: ENTER BASE ID: XXXXXXXXXX
Once the base indicators turn off (up to 30 seconds), the handsets have been de-registered from the base, and can now be re-registered.

To re-register a handset:
• Make sure your handset batteries are properly installed and charged.
• Your handset will display "ENTER BASE ID".
• Enter the 15-digit Base ID number from the bottom of the base unit.
• Press SELECT to accept the new code and complete re-registration.

To re-register a handset to a new base unit:
• Make sure your handset batteries are properly installed and charged.
• Unplug the old base unit. Your handset will display "SEARCHING...".
• Install the new base unit by plugging it into an electrical outlet and phone jack.
• Press and hold the SELECT key until the handset displays "ENTER BASE ID".
• Enter the new 15-digit Base ID number from the bottom of the new base unit.
• Press SELECT to accept the new code and complete re-registration. The handset is now registered to the new base.

I have just inherated the at&t e5634b phone system. I have replaced the batteries in the hand sets. As per the manual I have de-registered each hand set. The problem is that when I register the...

This problem can be caused by the following, A bad battery, (which you say you are all new). A full base memory and a Faulty main base unit
This main base unit can only expand to four handsets and no more. If the base unit has been reset then the assigned numbers for each handset would begin with " handset 1" if they show any other number when reset then it would not have been reset..To re-set main base you will have to
De-Register All Handsets
Unplug the power supply from the base unit then Remove all handsets from the charge cradles and base then Press and hold the PAGE button on the base.
Plug in the power supply again while pressing the PAGE button, Continue pressing PAGE until the IN USE and CHARGING indicators are lit. (this could take up to 10 seconds)
Release the PAGE button All Handsets will display "enter base id".
If this does not solve your problem then you will have to replace the main base
