The first thing to try is to see if a button is stuck on the remote or on the TV.
Remove the batteries on the remote and see if that helps. If it fixes the problem, you'll need to replace the remote.
If that doesn't help, look close at the buttons on the TV to see if one is jammed on. If changing channels continually up, then check the channel up button on the TV, if down then check the down button.
Worst case, you might have to take the back off the TV and unplug the cable feeding the external button panel on the TV and only use the Remote (for safety, rememeber to unplug the TV while doing any work on it).
Your remote need cleaning. For more details, visit one site in internet. Named 'electro-help". Google for it. It is an electronics entertainement equipments' service help blog site. Pull up older posts there. You can see detailed description about this.
Hi,
sounds like you need to "autoprogram" your channels. In the customer menu search for "settings" (looks like a toolbox) select that, arrow down to "channels" select that, you'll see option for "autoprogram" select that. Any channel it sees it will lock in and you shouldn't have to press numbers anymore.
