Hi I have a Soyo MT-SYJCP32B1AB tv and I have been having an issue where the TV will turn on but there is no picture. No light on screen or tv. There are times when sound works and others where it doesn't. At first I would just have to turn it on and off 2-3 times and it would work fine until I turned it off or switched inputs. Now it is taking more and more time of on/off to get it to show picture. I was wondering if this is just a board that I can change out. I have experience working with PC's, Laptops, and other electronics so I know I can replace a part, I am just not sure where to start.

CHECK YOUR VIDEO INPUTS. THE HD SIGNAL IS TAKING OVER ALOT OF THE ANALOG SIGNAL.MAYBE A STRONGER ANTENNA OR ADJUSMENTS MIGHT WORK AS WELL.

Sounds like the CRTs are going into protective blanking due to the vertical output ic needing to be resolderd. Try resoldering the vertical IC that may possibly fix the issue.

Resetting the TV
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can saved time.
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet for 3 - 4 hours.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.
hope this may help;
Regards,
VOTIT

I have a similar issue. Sometimes the entire screen goes black and sometimes only one-half - either the top or bottom half goes black. The only solution we have found is to gently tap the TV (usually the front side) and the picture will come back for awhile. It almost seems heat related as it only goes out after the first 10 minutes of use. There must be a fix to this.

Long story short:
Had the same problem with my Soyo.
Thought it was the power supply board problem that everyone else was reporting.
ordered one. Plugged it in. Did not work.
Inspected the Main/Logic board and found what looked like a black button that could be depressed. It is located to the right of main processor on the board. You can't really miss it.
With the TV plugged in, I pressed the suspect button. The TV made a buzzing/clicking noise for a few moments and the stuck blue illuminated power button faded away.
Curious by this, I pressed the power button and low and behold the TV comes to life!
Looks like I found a "reset" button which seems to have fixed my problem.
Thanks Soyo for not bothering to mention that such a button exists.
I hope the rest of you have the same good luck. In the event you are still in need of a power supply board, email me. I have a spare now it seems. ;)
