Hi ecech251
Don't panic, it is not too hard to do. If you have forgotten the code or put the wrong code in your ipod, you can unlock the Ipod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one Ipod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock Ipod using either (the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs). . . you can restore your ipod to factory settings using ipod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your ipod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your ipod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your Ipod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your ipod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
If you can't unlock your ipod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the Ipod, which will erase all music and data. Please take time to rate me Bud
Although locking your iPod Touch prevents accidental touch commands, the feature also prevents you from accessing your media and applications while the device is locked, according to the Apple site. The lock code is the 4-digit code that was created when the passcode lock was first enabled, and displays a passcode menu prompt on the iPod Touch's screen when the "Home" or "Power" button is pressed and the unlock bar is slid across the screen.
Instructions 1 Push the "Home" button on the iPod Touch's screen, or push the "Power" button on top of the device to show the home screen. 2 Slide your finger on the iPod Touch's unlock bar. 3 Enter the 4-digit passcode using the on-screen keypad to unlock the device. If you cannot remember the passcode, plug the dock-connector cable into the iPod Touch and plug the other end into your computer's USB port. According to Apple, the iPod Touch will automatically unlock after it is connected to your computer.
Normally there's a button on top of the Ipod Touch that you would need to press first for the screen to show you the message "Slide to unlock". After getting that, you can just touch the button on the screen sideways (like sliding your fingers to it) to unlock it.
However if the problem persist, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following: 1. Connect your IPod to your computer (the first one IPod sync with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you still can't unlock IPod by connecting it to the computer that you use to manage the songs, you can restore your iPod to it's factory settings using Itunes.
Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
Although, after restoring the Ipod and you are still having problems with unlocking it, the problem could be with the screen of your Ipod. In which case, you would need to go to any Apple store near you or you can try contacting Apple. Phone numbers for each country varies, you can click here to check the Phone number for your country.
You can unlock the ipod by either entering the 4 digit lock code or by connecting your ipod with the primary computer linked to that iPod, the computer it is synchronized. And, then
Open iTunes and click on the "Restore" button and the ipod will unlock. However, if this also doesn't work for you then you'll need to restore the ipod to factory settings. This will erase all the data stored on the iPod. Please see this link for details---

hi there, when you mean it will not even come on, does that mean that the ipod touch won't come on or itunes. If the ipod touch, then you may need a apple expert to help you with that. If it's itunes, just keep entering bad passwords. After a few more tries, it will reset on it's own and should become unlocked.
The iPod touch is disabled when the incorrect unlock code is entered
too many times. The time the iPod makes you wait increases each time an
incorrect unlock code is entered.
There are two ways you should be able to unlock the iPod. First,
connect the iPod to the computer it was last synced with. After iTunes
recognizes the iPod, you should be able to enter your unlock code and
unlock the iPod.
If the first method doesn't work or you don't remember your unlock code, then do this: 1) Turn the iPod off. 2) Hold down the Home button and connect the iPod to the computer it was last synced with. 3)Release the Home button when the iTunes image appears of the iPod's screen. 4)Wait for iTunes to recognize the iPod and then follow the onscreen directions to restore the iPod.
If neither method works, you will need to contact Apple Customer Support.
