How to replace fuel lines on 125E edger

I have the fuel lines and know how they hook up, but there is not enough room to make connections. Do I need to remove gas tank? If so, how do I do that?

SOURCE: Does the black gas line onmy weedeater connect to

Yes the fuel line on the 125l is an assembly that the fuel filter is attached to. If it is not it may still run but you are not filtering your fuel and any impurities could damage your carb and possibly your cylinder wall.

Display adjustment screw

Have you checked the choke leaver is in the off position, if the choke is stuck on ant you rev it, it will choke out, could also be carbonized exhaust, poor compression/piston rings, poor carb tuning, air leak in fuel line.

How do I replace a broker fuel line? The one broken has a filter inside the tank.

Hi doug c197...

I will also include a fuel routing drawing.
Before you remove any fuel lines, make a drawing or take a picture of how the lines are connected to the tank for later reference.
You will need to remove all the old fuel lines and fuel filter out of the gas tank.
After you have all the fuel lines and filter removed.
You need a piece of wire...smaller diameter than the inside of the fuel line, insert the wire into the fuel line until it exits the fuel line then bend a hook on the end of the wire to hook over the fuel line.
You will lubricate about 1 inch of fuel line with a small amount of vasoline or light machine oil...
Now using your fingers or small needle nose pliers collapse the fuel line around the wire hook and insert it into the hole in the fuel tank.
After you have the fuel line in the tank, extend enough fuel line into the tank to exit the fill spout of the tank and remove the wire from the fuel line.
You will insert the new or cleaned fuel filter into the line and pull the fuel line to pull the filter just back into the tank.

Put a new carburator on and don't know how to hook

Hi janemueller...

Normally the big line will be the line the fuel filter is connected to inside of the tank. The smaller of the two lines is the return to the fuel tank from the carburetor after it is pumped thru the carburetor by the primer bulb.

2008 125E edger starts and runs for a bit (10-30 sec) then stalls. New ZAMA crab, new fuel line and filter pick up, fresh gas in clean tank. Any ideas? Carl

Check ignition module and the timing gap between the ignition module and the flywheel. Does it also have good compression.?

String trimmer, fuel lines disintegrated, I need routing.

The Walbro has two connections on it for the fuel line. My Walbro has one connection on the side of the idle screw and main fuel adjusting screw. This connection hooks up to the suction side of the primer bulb. Usually the shorter stem. (You actually **** fuel through the carb instead of pushing it through.) On the other side of the carb is the other hook up. It draws fuel from the tank. This line will connect to the side of the tank that has the filter. The other side of the tank is your return and it hooks to the other connection on the primer bulb. Usually the longer stem.

Fetherlight xt200 fuel line connections

The longest, and sometimes smaller in diameter of the two fuel lines, goes from the carburetor to the bottom of the tank. Leave enough slack in this line so that the filter that attaches to the end will rest comfortably at the bottom of the tank.

The other fuel line goes from the primer bulb to just inside the tank, (about an inch). make sure that you get the right size fuel lines. The plastic coupling goes on the end of this line, inside the tank. This keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

(HINT): When feeding the lines through the tank holes, cut the lines at an angle. They will feed much easier into the holes. You can than cut them off square, once you know that you have enough to work with.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Yes, more than likely you will have to remove the screws on the back of the trimmer to remove the gas tank.
