How to edit directory phone number

So does your phone give you the object to edit the number. Go to the name that you want to edit and select edit on the top of the name and correct the number. Hope this help!

In my phone it goes like this
1 open contacts
2 all contacts
3 find the name of the person
4 click on the name--open
5 click on edit in the upper right hand corner
6 scroll down to the bottom
7 click on Delete Contact

Try adding your voice mail access number into the directory of the KX TG2770. You will need to enter the number separately for the base and the handset or copy it from the base to the handset. On the base, press Conf/Edit. Then navigate (up/down arrows) to Save Directory. Once in this submenu, you'll be able to add a name and phone number.

Then to call the access number, go to the directory list and locate the name/number and call it.

(Other phones have a voice mail waiting icon and let you program that number outside of the directory. These also check if you have voice mail waiting for the line that they are connected to. This phone doesn't seem to have that ability.)

Go to Phone book on your phone. It will display the Names List/Phone numbers you have saved.
Click on the number you want to edit/delete. Once the name/number is displayed, click on options and then Edit/Delete the Name/Number.

I am not sure about the brand & model number you are using. But in NOKIA phone you need to PRESS # for more than 5 Seconds then it will change to letter, word & vice versa.

Press menu button and select Contacts > Options > SIM contacts > SIM directory to see the names and numbers stored on the SIM card. In the SIM directory you can add, edit, or copy numbers to contacts, and you can make calls. To view the list of fixed dialing numbers, select Options > SIM contacts > Fixed dialling contacts. This setting is only shown if supported by your SIM card.

It will probably stay until a different contact takes it's place. You can also try adding their name again exactly as it was. After that, edit from your list of contacts by changing the contact name and number to that of directory assistance or other contact.

There is a directory button on your Meridian-press this button and press the down arrow key until the name is displayed in the display window and press your left arrow key to change the name and number after making the correction press your save button to store.  I hope this helps.

goto phone book hit menu find the number and or persons name you want to edit edit the number hit ok to get to the number or you can do the easier way
delete there name and number and put it back in with the right digits
