SOURCE: microwave wont heat up

Your signs point to a failed power tube. First though, does it defrost? If it does it is an electrical control problem. If it does not defrost, do the following.... With the power unpluged you may want to remove the outer cover, ( screws at back ), and locate a shiney metal box. That box is shielding for the power tube. Get the part # from the tube and replace. You could check price and availability at www.avnet.com . Make sure you replace all of the shielding exactly the way you found it. VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!

LG LMV 1680 ST shows error AC-1 and will not heat. The turntable does not turn either. The exhaust fan still works and the control panel still responds. What does this code mean?

Check the fuse. Also check out the safety switch by the unit door. If not closed when door is closed, no power is applied to either the turntable or the tube.

I have an LG solardom microwave and when I want to heat a small amount of liquid, it sparks and the base(not the turntable) of the microwave gets hot.

Quite often this is due to grease or food particles stuck somewhere in the cavity of the oven or stuck on or behind the waveguide cover.

It may also be in the area of the turntable support, coupler, or motor.

LG MS-1943ALT Micowave not working, light, fan and turntable all work, no heat

From the decription that you have provided, the magnetron is highly suspect and is the most expensive part to replace, cheaper to replace the microwave oven in the long run.

Microwave model MV-1510M is not heating, also sounds louder. Everything else is working, fan, lights, turntable etc..

If everything is working normally, except for heating, the likely cause is the magnetron.  Microwaves can be dangerous to work on, as the site below points out.  If you have an ohmmeter, it is possible to check the magnetron, but be certain to follow the precautions outlined at the webpage:

Not heating

If the oven is doing everything else properly (light comes on, fan runs, turntable goes around) but there's no heat, you may have a failed magnetron tube (the microwave source). There's also a relay that controls power to the tube that may not be working correctly, or the control circuit board is bad. It's also possible one of the door switches is not working (so the oven thinks the door isn't closed), although this usually keeps the turntable and fan from running.

Microwave oven service is not for do-it-yourselfers. There are potentially deadly voltages present even with power off, and a chance of microwave leakage if repairs aren't done properly. Let a professional give an estimate to repair it, or just replace it if it's under $100. (When I was servicing these things it wasn't unusual for a repair to cost over half the price of a new one. That's one of the reasons so few shops still work on small appliances.)

Non rotating lg turntable fixit try failure

Looks this model's turntable support has a coupler shaft built-in which is supposed to go down into the turntable motor hole and make contact with the turntable shaft. Is that right in your case?

So I would wonder if the turntable support has gotten bent due to heat. That's common on some models.

When you take it out and look at it from the side, are the legs straight and perpendicular to the shaft or are they bent down?

On some models, you can heat them over a stove flame, then put them on a flat surface with a weight to old them in position while they cool.

Otherwise, you'll need a new turntable support. LG / Goldstar calls this a "rotating ring".
