My lux legacy is not registering that I have replaced the bag

There is a trigger/sensor that activates when a new bag is replaced. Check to see that it is not stuck or dirty and moves freely when touched.

Lux Legacy vacuum cuts off every few minutes. It comes back on almost immediately. It has new bag and after filter and is not clogged.

Check filter door cover is on tight, latch is locked. This happened to me with another brand.

How do I remove the hose from the handle on a Lux Legacy?

You first have to knock out the plastic "plug" under the bottom of the handle and also pop off 2-3 small screw covers, about the size of a pencil eraser, on the top of the handle. Now remove the screws with the proper jewelers screwdriver or star driver and gently pull the handle apart (top and bottom). Be careful to pay attention to where the wires lay inside the handle then remove the handle from the hose. Voila! There's your answer....Hope that helps!

Owner's manuals are available on the Aerus site. Those three are under the "Older Model" tab. Simply download.

Service manuals are only availabe to franchise owners and service technicians in authorized Aerus stores. They're available to those personnel through software Aerus provides to them.

Vacuum cleaner Lux model motor fails to start

This vacuum has a 10 year warranty on the motor, and 5 years on everything else. Look in the yellow pages under vacuums, for the AERUS dealer, that is the new name for the traditional Electrolux company.....

Lux legacy

Actually the problem is inside of the canister itself. You need to change a part called the control valve. Occaisonally when fine particles get inside of the valve it damages the inside of the valve, sending a false reading to the main motor, causing it to shut off. This is a relatively quick and easy repair and should be recieved on a same day basis.
