The dryer will not start. The problem originally started when we stopped the dryer to chek clothes. Once we closed it to start again it would not start back up. The machine lights up like it wants to start but just makes a humming sound. We have changed the thermal limiter but still no luck. The buttons do not appear to be stuck either. Not sure what the next step should be???
Good Afternoon David,
I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model# LEQ6000ES2, is showing you an error code of E68 and will not start. I also see that you have changed the thermal limiter. Looking at what the E68 error code means, a key or button stuck, there could be something else causing the code to come up. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance, determine what is causing the E68, and repair your dryer. Hope this is helpful.
-Best Regards-

this is a fault code that means there is a stuck key on the board you may have to remove the control panel and check the keys if this does not work you may have to replace the panel or control board

Hi E68 error code indicates current leakage to ground on heater
or fuse opened. Check the resistance of the heating element; it should be
around 14 ohms. Also check the resistance between the ground and both heater
terminals, it should be open when heater terminal are disconnected. If the
readings are incorrect then the heating element should be replaced. Hope this
helps...please post back for further assistance. Daniel

Hello David Strobel - Do you notice the black substance after you take the clothing out of the washer or is it after it has been in the dryer?
