The solutions to my microwave prolem (keypad reading commands but keys won't work)didn't help. Do you have a manual I could download?

Try:
1) Unplugging power and plugging back in
or
2) Press Cancel twice while door open (works on my Whirlpool).

No buttons on my keypad will work but the "power" button, when I unplug and plug back in when screen lights up in red it says "lock" PLEASE HELP ME! we payed alot of money for this...

Which brand and model of microwave do you have? It sounds like the child lock has been enabled. Different brands often have different ways to toggle the child lock on and off. Press the Cancel button first (just in case). Then press and hold the Start button (on the Kenmore in my kitchen) for 3+ seconds. Other brands it's the 0 on the keypad that has to be held for 5+ seconds.

My microwaves have a small padlock on the appropriate key.

I hope this helps.

(there are a few brands that have the child lock accessed through a secondary menu. Please add a comment with your microwave brand/model. Then I will check the specifics for your brand.)

Frigidaire microwave model fmv152ksa Some of the buttons on the console do not work. The number 5 does not work (if I hit timer & any other #, the # will show up, but 5 will not show up) the clock on...

If you're saying that some digits or segments on the display do not light up, then I would first suspect grease or moisture on the control circuit board.

If it's just that some pads on the keypad will not respond, I would say your membrane keypad is failing.

I would first give it a "hard reset" by unplugging it for 2 minutes, then trying it again.

If it still fails, I would remove the control panel assembly (see the disassembly video here) and inspect the circuit board for green, gray, or white residue or grease.

The membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, but comes already installed on a new control panel frame, which is part number 5304464130 which you can order from the Pros here.

To replace that, you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move your circuit board into your frame.

5E (SE) error showing on my samsung C106FL micowave oven (2 years old). None of the other keypad buttons are working. I unplugged the oven & re-plugged next morning but still saem result. Pls help.

The "SE" error indicates a shorted membrane keypad.

None of the buttons in the Samsung Microwave oven work. There is power but I am not able to use any button on the microwave. Nothing happens when I press any of the buttons.

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes.

If it still fails, you probably have a bad membrane keypad.

I'd need the model number to give you more free help or an estimate, so fee free to contact me if you'd like.

Microwave not working

It may help us to give the brand and model, but it sounds like you have a failing keypad.

We have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

Essentially you unplug the oven from the wall outlet, and remove the control panel assembly as per the instructions at the site linked above.

There should also be a very helpful "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel. It's very helpful when troubleshooting.

Then unplug the keypad from the circuit board, heat up the keypad from the front with a hair dryer, then peel the old keypad off. You have to make sure all the old adhesive is off.

Then peel the backing paper from the new keypad and carefully press the new keypad in place. You need to be precise - you cannot apply it, peel it off, then reapply it.

If you would like to have us do this for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

Error code of F-3.

F3H —Humidity Sensor Failure: Refer to the Tech Sheet and test the sensor.

a) Open the oven door.
b) Unplug the microwave oven for 2-seconds and plug it back in.
c) Release the CANCEL keypad and close the oven door. You will see the following display.
CHART
NOTE: The humidity sensor test results will appear on the display after 8-seconds.If the tests are successful, "OK " will be displayed. If one or more of the tests fail, "ERR " will be displayed.. 2.When a keypad is pressed, a number according to the test chart will be displayed. When no keypad is pressed, a blank "—" is displayed.
If you want to try to fix it your self, Always remember Electricity is dangerous and should be treated with respect.
Microwaves are very dangerous, they can still shock you even unplugged!!
Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it. With the microwave unplugged.
If my attachment made it, it shows a common way to do this....
Good Luck!
