2006 volkswagon jetta ac compressor solenoid not getting power?

There are low and high pressure switches on the coolant high and low side and if there is low coolant (freon ) the switch is open and wont allow the compressor to run. IF the switch is disconnected it wont run. Check the system pressure.

Why is the air conditioner say e1?

Other forums say the E1 code is because the AC thinks a button is stuck or because it's dirty, but almost all of them say to use the remote and it'll work ok.

If you have the remote, that should still work..if you need to reset it. If you do not have the remote, believe it or not, some VCR/DVD remotes will work the system. The remote is a 'One For All' URC-3021B00

The buttons are as follows:
rewind=power on/off
pause= timer on/off
4=low/high
5=temperature up
9=temperature down
8=fan/cool

Goiod luck.

Previous tenant left ac window unit Haier HWF05XC5, but took the remote. Can I manually turn on this ac unit? when turning the power button, only the fan turns on, I'm unable to switch to AC

According to the Model Number you listed, it's a Mechanically or Manually Controlled AC unit. There is no remote control for it.Please be certain the Model Number you listed is correct and get back to me.

If it's the correct model number and it's manually controlled. You should have 2 rocker switches. One is to turn the power ON & Off. The other is to set the Fan Speed either on Low or High. Then there is a dial, numbered 1 to 10 to set the cooling level. 1 is min cool and 10 is Max Cool.

If the controls on your unit match what I described above, it's a manually controlled unit. No remote.

I hope this helped you. Please advise. Thanks.

Heater or ac wont blow air in my 2003 ford escort zx2. heat comes out when the heater is on and i am driving fast? is it the blower fan? where would i locate it at?

Try unhooking one of the battery cables and leave it off for at least 20 minutes. When you hook it back up the

computers should re-boot. That has solved problems for me with heater, interior lites, power windows, AC, day

time running lites, power mirrors, fast idle, rough or slow shifting, CD player, and wipers on GM autos and S-10

PU and Dodge trucks. None of the switches are connected to the device they control anymore. The switch tells the

computer to open the window and the computer sends a signal to the window motor. When the computer gets

confused strange things will happen or not happen. Things like one headlight stays off etc. I actually had to do it

twice on my Bonneville because the first time the AC blower would only work in low and medium. After the second

re-boot, everything was fine. Of course you may have to re-set your radio stations.

If that doesn't work, check the fuses.

My Duo-therm Brisk-Air by Dometic rv ac wont cool.(The fan runs )

Usually just listening closely will give you a rough idea where to look for problem. When you have the fan on and switch to cool, (with temperature turned down low obviously) do you hear any type of "moaning" sounds from AC unit, or see lights in RV dim slightly indicating that compressor is trying to engage? Is the breaker tripping when compressor tries to engage? Do you hear a "click" from AC unit when switched to cool? If none of that happens, then I'd start thinking thermostat, or compressor relay. Normally if it's a faulty capacitor, the compressor will try to engage but will make a "moaning sound" and usually trip the breaker due to excess current draw. Someone experience in electrical should be able to test relays etc, but whoever does work on it, should be aware that those capacitors, as well as hydro in general are very dangerous to work with. The ("zap",- Shock) that you can experience from a capacitor or hydro, can be fatal.

Air conditioning comp not turn on

if you used a pressure washer ,you could have caused a leak ,if there is no freon the low pressure switch wont let the compressor turn on,even if you didnt use high pressure,engine degreaser may remove corrosion on the line set or the condenser ,also causing a leak, the high or low pressure switches may still be wet, follow the line set ,fat line (low pressure switch with a plug w/2 wires)unplug it make sure its not still wet inside,do the same to the high pressure switch on the small line,check the fuses ,pull the ac relay make sure there is no water underneath,and the prongs are dry,if the blower fan in the vechile isnt working on 2,3,or 4 speed it wont let the ac turn on,if all that checks out ,turn the fan on high max ac unplug the green wires or wire on the compressor right behind the belt pulley,check for 12v dc,if none,you lost a relay or one of the pressure switches,fuse,maybe broken wire,if 12 v. is there,your clutch coil fried on the compressor pulley,good luck, hope you figure it out
