Where is the reset button on the tom tom gps - Tomtom Go 700 Portable GPS Receiver

Route will not plan until the GPS is locked.
Soft reset on the button underneath for 30 seconds will reset the GPS receiver on a 700.
Then wait upto 4 minutes for a refreshed lock after power up

To reset these models, just hold the power button in for 15 seconds.

The reset button is at the bottom of your tom tom gps device. To reset your gps device,

1. Check that your battery is properly charged. Charge it for at least 2 hours before you carry out a reset,
2. Then you remove your SD card, if your device uses one, it is also at the bottom of the tom tom,
3. Then you use a straightened paper clip or something similar to push the reset button for about 15 seconds,
4. Press and hold your power on/off button for about 5 seconds,
5. Then insert your SD card if your device uses one.

Mainly the problem with this tom tom one is that it comes up with this problem frequently. The solution to this problem is for you to reset your tom tom by holding the reset button for a while, after doing that, it will reset it and it will be able to receive signals.

Most TomTom GPS have a small reset button underneath. you will need a paper clip to activate the reset button. This should start it up and clear the locked out state you described

You need to use a safety pin to reset the TOM TOM.

The reset button is on the bottom of the unit. It is a very small hole.

Put the pin in there, hold it for a few seconds and that should enable you to turn it back on.

can you locate the reset button and try that first.

I had the same problem with the go 920, I thought it was broken, 
Solution was to insert pin into reset hole for 15 Sec, after which hold the power on button for at least 5 Secs

The reset button on this unit is on the back at the top right as you turn the unit around. It is a very small hole. You must insert a paperclip or pin into this hole to reset the unit.
