My 99 Ram Sport 5.2 Lt. will start and idle fine until I push on the throttle and then it kills and wont idle on its own again until next day? I can only keep it running when pumping pedal continuall

What could cause the engine to idle fine when starting but upon acceleration it kills and wont idle again. Only continues to run by pumping accelerator and jerks and kills. What could cause this ? Poss. Relay, Fuse or could it be the pump> It is a 99 dodge Ram Sport 5.2 Lt. and has computer chip I believe?

Sounds like the pump or dirty filter causing it to flood

SOURCE: cant get choke to operate on C50TLRY 2000 50 hp 2

Check choke itself to make sure it moves freely. Adjust the cable and spring if necessary. If the choke is controlled by a vacuum controlled actuator, make sure it is not leaking or loose pressure

SOURCE: I'm trying to wire a 12v bilge manual pump to a

You run your hot wire to the switch (brown) and black wire to the pump (+ve connection). Then from the pump run another wire to the negative terminal of your battery. I used to use a toggle switch on mine, but I do not use a starter motor, still all the lights, radio and echo sounder are connected to it (via a junction box). The only item I fuse is my echo sounder.

does the starter motor always work correctly every time, called cranking?

we get the fact it does not start. sometimes
but what is not clear, at all, is that the starter always makes this sound called cranking? or fails to do cranking

2001 explorer sport , fuel pump? vacuum leak? 619 scan tool data provided, any suggestions/solutions

The fuel pump is suspect but I believe there's also a fuel filter inline on the underside of the drivers side chassis. Fuel works off pressure so if the filter is clogged, the pressure remains between the fuel tank and the filter. Once the fuel has siphoned off between the filter and injectors, it dies but because there's positive pressure at the fuel pump, it won't come on until the pressure slowly seeps past the clog after hours. It's worth a look!

99 suberban wont idle without giving it gas

Did this happen all of a sudden or creep up on you? Did the check engine light come on? The first thing I would check would be the IAC, or Idle air controller on the throttle body. If it is stuck wide open or died in the open position it will bleed in air like a vacuum leak. the next is the vacuum leak!
A broken or deteriorated vacuum hose leaking air into the intake. Another thing that can do that is the EGR valve If it is stuck it will let exhaust enter the intake and at idle it will kill the engine.
A vacuum leak by a hose can usually be heard as a his when the engine is started, same with the IAC. The EGR open will just kill the idle with no obvious sounds.

99 Suburban wont start

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 1999 GMC YUKON WITH THE 5.7 ENGINE HAVING TO JUMP START ALL THE TIME TO GET IT RUNNING, THE PROBLEM WITH MINE WAS THE FUEL PUMP HAD TO BE REPLACED, EVEN WHEN I REMOVED THE PUMP AND TURNED THE KEY FUEL PUMPED OUT BUT WAS NOT ENOUGH PRESSURE TO GET AND KEEP THE ENGINE RUNNING.I ALSO TRIED STARTER FLUID, THE ENGINE WOULD RUN UNTIL THE FLUID BURNED OFF.SO THE SOLUTION FOR MY TRUCK WAS THE FUEL PUMP AND NOW ITS STARTING LIKE A CHAMP
