You can either use the units own spark plug as a visual tester or get an inline tester from a parts store. Most of the time just using the unit spark plug is enough. As long as you can see the head of the plug while it is resting on a metal part of the engine for grounding purposes. They make 20000 volts so it should jump a good sized spark plug gap no problems.

Be safe and good luck!

SOURCE: No Spark, plug is good

Hi
If you have a good plug in still no spark you will need to install a new coil.

My leaf blower starts cold but won't start warm

Test for spark when it is warm. You may have a damaged ignition module.

How do i check spark on my echo leaf blower

You can take a spark plug tester and plug one end into the spark plug wire and the place the other end on the spark plug and pull the starter rope and see if there is a spark present. Hope this helps.

Got a craftsman leaf blower cranks up and runs fine for about 5 mins then starts losing rpms

ITs hard to diagnose these things over the internet, it could be so many things.
Is this a gradual loss of power? If so; Im sorry to say; that it sounds like its losing compression as it warms up. It is not cost effective to repair the unit.

If the loss of power is more sudden it could be a failing ignition module. Ive even seen spark plugs that quit working when they get hot.

To test this you will need a proper spark tester, laying the spark plug against the head will not provide an accurate assesment, and a can of carb cleaner. Run the unit with the air box cover and filter removed till it fails and immediately give a shot of carb cleaner in the carb and restart. If it starts right up it could be fuel related. IF it doesnt start right up then quickly test for spark. If no spark then its likely the ignition module. If it wont run on the extra fuel and it has spark then it has probably lost compression.

STIHL BG75 LEAF BLOWER ELEC. SYSTEM

The unit uses a magneto system. To test the module remove the black wire from the module then reassemble unit and test for spark ( spinning by hand will not work, you need to use the starter rope to get the needed RPM to create a spark). If you have no spark with the ground wire disconnected the module is bad and needs to be replaced. If you DO have spark with the ground wire disconnected then you have a pinched wire going to ground or a bad stop switch

No spark

Try a new spark plug. If you have done that and still no spark, check the flywheel coil leg gap (.012) thousand, should do it. Also, disconnect the kill switch and run a spark test again. If the unit still doesn't have any spark, then in all probability you need a new coil or as they call them today, a new module.

WONT START REPLACE ENGINE CARBRATOR ADPT DO TO BOLT BROKEN OFF STILL WONT START

Check spark plug. remove the spark plug, clean it and test it. If it still doesn't start, take the spark plug out, and connect it to spark plug wire and try to crank the blower, and see if it makes a spark, if not you may need to replace the spark plug.

Hi guy's by blower won't start or fire i think jet settings are wrong could this be

Unless you have fiddled with the carb, it's not the carb. Check spark with an in-line spark checker then check compression with a compression tester...if these two test good THEN it may be the carb. If you need to know how to use those tools or where to get those tools, let me know here.

I have a craftsman leaf blower which has worked fine till last week when it suddenly stopped. I did a spark test...no spark....replaced the plug....no spark. What next?

How did you do the spark test? Did you use an in-line spark tester? You need to determine definitively that there is no spark and the only way to do it is to use an in-line spark tester...you can get one at Harbor Freight for about $12. After you've checked it that way, if there is definitely no spark, most likely the ignition module is faulty. You should be able to purchase a new module through Sears Parts but bounce the cost and time of that off of the cost of a new blower...you may be surprised.
