Hello, I am having problems changing the screen resolution on mty Posiflex ks6800 series touchscreen. I have upgraded graphicsthe drivers but doesn't appear to have helped

If you are running windows, either open the control panel and select "display" or right-click (try touching also) on a blank area on your desktop. select "screen resolution" and try to change it there. Only the supported display modes should appear.

Since you are running a touch screen display, there are probably only a few options you can choose. This is due to the nature of how a touch screen operates.

Hope this helps.....

My Garmin nuvi 200w behaves erratically until it has been turned on and warmed up for around 10 minutes. Before this time the touch screen may not work or when pressed respond as if pressed at another...

First make sure the batteries are good and at normal room temperature.
Second, based on your question your touch screen is bad or needs calibrating....

Garmin 2720 touchscreen won't work, must use remote control.

I'll start with a comment I made on another post:

The touch screen is made up of several layers. A thin plastic layer, a micro thin metal layer, microdots for insulators, another ultra thin metal layer, and a final plastic layer. All of these layers amount to the thickness of a sheet of paper. This whole stack is bonded to a thin sheet of glass and placed over the actual TFT display.

It's amazing that you can see through all these layers and only lose 20% of the light. What's not so amazing is that those thin metal layers are prone to damage. I've seen several with no apparent damage that didn't work, and several with visible scratches that worked fine.

I usually start by installing (or reinstalling) v7.2 firmware and then attempt to recalibrate the screen, sometimes that works. Next I would try re-seating the 4 conductor touch screen pigtail in it's ZIF socket nestled between the big white wires on the display assembly. The last resort is to buy a broken 2600 or 2700 series Garmin and salvage the touch screen. Actually the real last resort is to have Garmin fix it for a flat $250. Good luck.
