To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced.
first of all you have to check the power supply. sometimes bad electrolytic capacitors on the power supply can lead to such problems. may the capacitors seems ok visually but not be good in performance. if power supply is ok then you have to go for a ne inverter board. check the video to understand how to check the power supply of lcd tv

sounds like bad capacitors on the power board. Very common problem. I would look at the caps if any appear even slightly rounded on top they are bad. They should be perfectly flat on top any puffing up means replace that cap.
did you check the power sup plug on board and check the back of the power sup. some have a switch on them and check the cpu fan plug as well.you may also have a bad power sup. ok jim
