My car wont start after I have driven a while and turn off engine. When I try to start it cranks well but will not turn over. If I let it sit for 20 minutes it will start again???

Sounds like you're in tank fuel pump is starting to go bad..happened to my astro van a few years ago..kept doing this until one day it just didn't work. Have someone do a fuel pressure test before and after turning the engine over...Also try this..before trying to start your engine turn your switch to ON for about ten seconds and listen very carefully for the pump running to prime the fuel system and injectors it should run for about five seconds...then try starting the engine...get into the habit of waiting those 10 seconds to insure proper priming of the system..good luck

Would a bad intake gasket cause a check engine light or for the insufficeint flow to EGR code come up?

Yes it can be. Here is a simple way to check for a intake leak. Get a can of crab cleaner. Start the motor, let the motor idle if it will. Spray the crab cleaner around the intake where it bolts.to the cyl heads. If the intake is leaking you will hear the motor idle change. You can check vac lines the same way. Hope this helps you find the problem.

Abs light on on the dash and a motor under van stays on when key is off

the motor you are hearing could be the abs pump. abs light will not come up on a code reader for engine as its classed as body part. if it is this pump then the system is faulty and the pump running can mean that it has a broken fin inside you cannot fix this part and another abs pump will be need to fix this.

Where is thermostat located on 2004 suburban

I'm not an expert but I have changed a few thermostats in my time on different cars and most times the stat is located where the top coolent hose come off the radiator and goes into the engine thats where the thermostat should be and dependeing on the location it should only take about 15 min to change depending on your skill, hopefully that helps you.But if it is behaving like you mentioned it might be your water pump going bad , I just went through a simular problem.

Mitsubishi fuso 2008 check engine light

Hello
When the service engine soon light (Also called the check engine light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that powertrain control module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the systems it controls, this can be the transmission or the engine or emission system, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.
