How can I fix my Xbox 360 wireless controller receiver ?

Hi people! So I've seen many tutorials so far how to fix this by soldering that F1 thing, however, none of them solved my problem. I assume it's because I have a newer version of this receiver and I'm not able to find that F1 think there. I would be very happy if somebody could response who did this before. I can take some photos of it and maybe that would help to fix this.

My wireless xbox 360 controller doesn't function properly when i push it up forward why doesn't it work right?

Maybe the problem lies within the controller maybe the soldering has broken off (happened to me) or the joystick on the 360 controller has come lose.

Xbox 360 wireless pc controller reciever not working??

My receiver died two days ago, i opened it up, and the Fuse was damaged, dont know how it could happen, not that much of current going thru that receiver, well the thing is all you have to do is get a solderer, and soldering iron, remove the fuse and solder a little cable so that you have a close circuit, The fuse is on the down side of the PCB (Printed Circuit Board), its named after F1

X box 360 powers up but no sound or picture

Well this is just a sign that the RROD error is going to happen.

If your system is still under warrantee and you have not tampered with the warrantee sticker than I recommend that you just send this system to microsoft and they shoud do the repair for free but if you would like to know how to fix it yourself keep reading:

The way to fix this is to first reflow the solder on the motherboard by using a heat gun then you will also have to preform the X-Clamp fix Here are the tutorials for both things you have to do:

Help Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver For Windows, help help

Hello my name is Tim Ehrhart, If the reciever is not lighting up then it is dead, you can try to take it to walmart and exchange it for a working one, they are usualy good at swapping out and if they give you a hard time buy a new one and return it with the old reciever instead of the new one. I hope this helps you.

Help Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver For Windows, help help

I bought this system recently, and it had the same problem from the beginning.

I opened it, and found that the problem was the F1 Fuse that is cutting the current. You have to open it and bypass (soldering) the two legs of the F1 Fuse.

This is how to open it: http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/6896/openingoi6.jpg
and this is the circuit: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/231/receivereb4.jpg

Hope this will help ;P

X-BOX 360 SOUND BUT NO PIC

Unfortunately this is a version of the red ring of death, its just that the red rings don't appear. Normal RROD is solder separating from the ram, so the motherboard doesn't read the ram on startup thus giving the error code. No video but sound problem is also solder issue, there is no connection to the video card to the video plug thus giving no video. Best thing is to call 1-800-4-my-xbox and see if they will fix it, if their assholes and want to charge you, there are lots of tutorials on youtube about taking apart the xbox and using heat guns to reconnect the solder points. Last thing, if considering the towel trick, beaware it can actually do more harm than good.

Wireless controller wont turn on

If you're using the AA battery pack, try this.

Use a small screwdriver or other such tool to pry up the metal spring on the back of the battery pack as seen here:

02eca28.jpg
This will give you access to the two small metal prongs underneath. Pry these up as well, as far as you can (see below).

Finally, push the metal spring back down just enough so that a little bump of it appears above the battery pack, like so.

Now power it up and test it out!
