I've connected the system to a comcast digital cable box via the instructions and can't get any sound except the radio. I've use spdif cable too. I've used RCA Jacks from the audio out on the cable box to the sat /tv in on the home theater. Suggestions?

can't find that eq 5888 model number but does the tv have a connection labelled as spdif this is a special digital audio out standard by phillips. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-spdif-connection/2/
I am not sure if this can be plugged into the sb 2920x-c6 digital in socket or if you need a digital amplifier between the two items ?
Someone else on fixya may know if a digital amplifier is needed or a direct connection from tv to sound bar is possible via a spdif cable.
You'll need some sort of audio cable to connect the TV's sound or audio output to the soundbar. For the most basic connection, use an RCA-style cable ( like the one found here: http://goo.gl/5F8yLh ) to connect your TV's audio output to the soundbar's input. Most soundbars also have an SPDIF input ( like the one found here: http://goo.gl/2F2rKs ) and most modern TV's have an SPDIF output. Get an SPDIF optical digital audio cable to connect the two devices together. Once you've decided which type of connection to use and have connected the TV's audio output the soundbar, then make sure you select the proper input on the soundbar. That should fix your problem.
The TV has a SPDIF ( coaxial ) digital out socket at the back . Get yourself a digital cable and connect it to the RCA Home theater systems coax digital input
You also have to connect a SPDIF coax or optical from both the DVD player and from the STBox into the digital inputs on the rear of the receiver. And select them with the remote control.
You can connect PS3 video via HDMI to receiver and from receiver via HDMI to TV. But RX-V365 doesn't support HDMI audio, so you have to connect audio separately via SPDIF digital cable. I think PS3 uses optical SPDIF, so you will need optical cable. If you can't find cheaps optical cables in your shop, you can try byuing from ebay ($1-5 max.)
Purchased a x810 & everything tests out fine except TV signal sounds from cable box. We have the Comcast cable box connected to the 50" Samsung Plasma TV hooked up to Samsung x810 Soundbar all using HDMI cables. But we are not getting cable shows sound through Soundbar. Please advise
Don't worry about sending the TV audio to the Panasonic. Just send a digital audio signal from the cable box to the Panasonic.
DVD - Panasonic connected via HDMI
TV - Panasonic connected via HDI
cable connected to cable box and TV. But you will not really be using the cable connection to the TV (TV Tuner) since you will want HD feed from cable box through HDMI input on TV.
You aren't concerned about feeding the TV speakers because your audio will always come from the home theatre.
Note that some components don't feed audio through HDMI, in which case you will need to use optical digital audio.
