SOURCE: TV Picture Freezes and Turns Off; Cannot Use Remote
My shop had this problem yesterday. We had to change the DMD to correct it. One of the data lines was being drawn down intermitently. This doesn't eliminate the digital PCB, but, we have seen the DMD do this more than a digital. You should have an authorized shop do the repair. Contact Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG or contact by email: http://samsung.com/ContactUs/ContactUs.htm Hope this helps.
SOURCE: Loss of Power
You might want to unlpug the powercord for the night, then plug it back in the next morning. Some times that can help reset things. If that still doesnt do the trick, you might have a faulty power cord. If it does this with every source you hook up to your TV then that would be a sign that its something in the set vs. your external source.
SOURCE: My Samsung 50" HLS5086W wide screen tv keeps shutting off....
I have a Samsung DLP 61". The TV continued to turn off with no indications from the panel. I did some tests and determined the TV was not getting enough air circulation due to its poor fan inside. I installed a 110v computer fan on the outside of the vents on the rear of the TV to **** the heat out. Worked great and I have never had a problem since. Need further help or pictures let me know

Look in the back of the set. You will find a Black Lamp Door with one screw at the top if your set is black. Remove the Lamp Door carefully. You might hear a click, If you do then reinstall the Lamp Door and tighten the screw. If you do not hear a click don't worry, replace the Lamp Door. This resets the Interlock Safety Switch. The switch gets hot and opens the circuit. Any time the rear case is removed you must do this as the rear case does not engage the Interlock Switch properly. If the tv comes on and you have a picture wait a while to see if the set turns back off, If it does then you might have a bad a Lamp and or Lamp Ballast. Take the Lamp out through the Lamp Door and look at the Front Galss. DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS AT ALL!. If you see shattered glass, you have a bad lamp. If you do not replace the Lamp any way because the Lamps for this Model can look good and still be bad.
