Why is the chime muffled? - LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer

Unfortunately you can't. The chime sounder is part of the main control board. Next time you take it in for dealer servicing, ask if they can muffle it with some silicone.

The manual says that the stereo microphones are either side at the rear of the flash. Make sure nothing is near them. It also says that it can be affected if the flash is raised. It sounds like a firmware issue, and it is a pity there is no external mic jack socket.

Removing the ignition key should stop the chime which is intended to remind the driver to remove the key.

Chime isn't intended to be switched off and mostly there is no facility for doing so. It might be possible using a laptop with the right software or you could locate the chime and either muffle it or perhaps disconnect it, though that might upset the brain.

wow I wish I had a dollar for every time I get asked about this . there is no volume for the beeper or chimes that go off to signal some function is complete or not , what I've been doing to satisfy folks that have asked is to open up control panel an locate the sound emitter using several layers of tape I tape over it and it muffles the sound down a lot , id suggest letting a pro do this as it can be hard to access the control board

what on earth is a muffle sound? do you mean the sound is muffled?? do your input knobs make any difference to the sound? does the equaliser do anything to the sound?

Check the microphone area to make sure no lint is blocking anything. If you use a protective case, try taking it off to see if there is any difference. Make sure if you are not using Bluetooth to have it off, on some models if you have Bluetooth on and are not paired with anything, you get a muffling effect.

Is the door chime working and you want to disable it or is there no chime at all?First off the door chime comes through the radio speaker,if you need to disable it you will need to cut the wire from the speaker to the chime.If is annoying you can spray foam on it and muffle it .I believe that it uses data bits from the head unit (radio) to function so another way to get rid of it is sort of drastic but change out your head unit.Sorry your question only asked about where the fuse is and to the best of my knowledge is that is is none.

Try playing with the connection, sounds to me maybe the jack is going bad or has a shorted connection. Plug it in and out slowly to see if that's the issue.

The speakers sound all good because you said "the speakers" are muffled .....it sounds like a problem on the board.....a capacitor a resister but its fixable....unfortunately only by a repairman

First thing you wanna do is to try another set of headphones. If it still sounds muffled then theres a fault in the audio output section and these things are non user serviceable. Your gonna need to send back to the manufacturer. Good Luck
